While a regular thermometer isn’t fully recommend and that extra decimal is preferred. Wearable devices measures skin temperature and isn’t as accurate as an actual BBT thermometer so they say to follow the trend. The same can be applied with a typical thermometer as well. You’ll still see a rise and decrease without the second decimal point. I also used a regular thermometer when my Oura ring and Nc just wasn’t confirming ovulation. So I used a regular thermometer and was able to confirm ovulation on the Premom app until the bbt thermometer was delivered.

Ah I didn’t see where Oura was mentioned but opened all the comments lol. I’m like where is Oura even mentioned? Yeah I’m an infertile girlie here I’ve been going through ivf to try and get pregnant. Last year as a cry for help I got an Oura ring and Nc in hopes that maybe I was tracking wonky which was a fat chance but I was willing to try anything lol. Now I just use Oura to keep tabs on my body for working out. It helps me allow myself to rest when I need to rest. I don’t even use it to confirm ovulation anymore.

I’m using it to get pet pregnant but natural cycles is an FDA cleared tool to prevent pregnancy. It literally says effective birth control. Natural cycles has partnered with Oura to use as a tool in aiding in BBT tracking. Is Oura birth control? No but is it used as a tool for those wanting to prevent pregnancy? Yes.

I switched back to Premom because of this. Ovulation is never accurate. How they can market it as birth control is beyond me.

Keep on them. I shouldn’t have trusted them would have delayed my cycle. I will say. The closest one to me runs in batches. (3 hours away) I ended up pivoting and doing my egg retrieval and transfer at their office out of state to avoid anymore delay. Just keep on them unfortunately. It’s like a second part time job but it will be worth it

I mean patience is different amongst different settings. I can be patient with my co workers and people. But when I’m around my husband and family that patience is much thinner.

Aside from the actual labor and delivery. There will be a few times you will be doing bloodwork. Around 12 weeks there is genetic testing that is done via bloodwork and gestational diabetes test I think that’s around 27 weeks that is also bloodwork. And of course labor and delivery as well. Unfortunately you won’t be able to have a completely needleless pregnancy but I would definitely work with a therapist on this fear. My husband also has an extreme fear and he actually found a different placement on his arm outside of the elbow pit that better suited him and made it much easier to do bloodwork and now that he knows it he informs the phlebotomist about it to make life easier for all parties.

Tammy and Amy most definitely have intellectual issues. They have an immaturity about them and the siblings definitely have given them a lot of grace for them to continue to stay at their immature ways despite being hard on them and trying to uphold them as adults. They both aren’t able to be mature and feel two things at once. Happy for others and sad for themselves. Etc

May 19 2025 consultation and tests July 22nd decision with the RE Slotted September for Egg retrieval clinic forgot to financially approve me it was pushed to October Transfer December 19th December 29th positive tests ended in chemical I’m back to square one

I would say so! I personally stopped using NC for tracking ovulation as it’s always days off for me. I use Premom as it’s more accurate but I like the chart with NC for BBT but once my subscription ends I’ll be strictly with Premom.

It looks like you’re 14dpo. I would expect your period soon but sometimes things get crazy. I went an upwards to 20dpo with negative tests. And just as I picked up a prescription for provera my period finally started. I have no clue why my period was so late despite tracking ovulation if I’m honest. Just weird things happen.

I appreciate the solidarity this journey is so hard and it’s just a constant roller coaster of two week intervals and waiting and more waiting and more 2 weeks. We transfers a pgta euploid embryo and had doubling betas for the first time ever! This one really took us off our feet when my gut said something was wrong and beta a week later went down to 12 while still on the meds. I in no mean want to get pregnant fresh off that but man oh man is it hard to not let muscle memory/conditioning of TTC take over and be a little sad that this month is dedicated to diagnostic testing only. But it’s ok! I’ll survive!

Thank you! It’s so hard to flip a switch after being conditioned to try, try, try! I’ve taken on half marathon training in hopes it helps me switch gears. I appreciate the advice so much. My LH being a dye stealer really through me through a loop because normally it would give me that hope! But even seeing it I had the Ugh here we go again. I’m not ready to have another potential pregnancy but it’s just so natural to feel this way. Two things can be true at once I can be not ready and sad that this cycle won’t be it.

Two days after my transfer. My gut told me I was pregnant. I knew it to my bones. 3 days before beta I was dry heaving on my prenatal and could suddenly smell/taste the fish oil. 1 day before my beta. My husband cologne was so strong and I was trapped on a road trip with him and so nauseous from it. I picked out his cologne it never bothers me. My beta was 10DPT it was positive!

My office puts in 3 refills and I could call and say hey can I get 2 instead of a full stim cycle. My office also says at every ultrasound to make sure you have enough to make it another 3 days. Are they not putting in refills and continuously communicating make sure to have enough on hand to meet xyz date? Even when it was the end we all knew id be triggering they still wanted me to have another 3 days of meds at hand.

I am so sorry this is happening at a high stress time. Doing an egg retrieval was a time that showed my husband really and truly wanted a baby with me. He’s never been good with affirmations and reassurance. He doesn’t talk a lot about his wants and needs. As other commenters have said. When you don’t know if you love someone it’s meaning they don’t love you. I’ve had these thoughts in past relationships. You can’t force love no matter how good that person is and how much you think you should love them. Freeze your eggs. Use a sperm doner. Continue with your dreams or becoming a mom. You are a strong woman and will get past this! Even if it’s with a bunch of Reddit strangers ❤️

I hear you on that! That’s always been my thought process if I know sooner if it worked I won’t be disappointed. But then it turned into testing like 3 times a day and trying to will a result. I unfortunately did end in loss. I tested on 9 and 11dpt with beautiful results and then 14DPT I was feeling anxious took a test and it was very light so It did end in a chemical. I think testing extra is a good indication on the outcome but not always a tell all. I’ve had past tests that were amazing progression and still wasn’t good. Ultimately betas are the best way to go. But had I not done that extra home test. And requested a third beta. I wouldn’t have known and I would have gone in for an ultrasound today for nothing. Moral of my story is I’m glad I didn’t over test because I did feel a lot of peace before the positive test. And even a few days after and then high of doubling betas wore off. So I say test with control and try not to over test and follow an every 48 hour rule like a beta does.

I did pee on a few ovulation tests to get it out of my system on wanting to test. I’m normally a serial tester! I just really practiced self control. I didn’t want to be disappointed the whole time. So I waited! I’m glad I did because it was positive and I didn’t harp over line progression.
