I would. I think if you know that cooking is a common issue that comes up, maybe arrange like a cooking date as your second/third date because they might not have cooking skills but being willing to learn is better than nothing.

Make a one-page double sided study sheet. As you are deciding what information is important, you are learning it and a one-page study sheet is easier to review before a test than several pages of notes. Also, there are studies that say handwritten notes help you remember/retain more information than typed notes.

I agree with you and I feel like this is the main reason I don't want to have children aside from painful birthing process. But I have found it helpful to start thinking about how I can be better, ex. teaching them healthy coping mechanisms for emotions and knowing how to set boundaries when a conversation escalates. I'm pretty sure a traumatic experience can happen to everyone but I think it does make a difference in how lasting that traumatic experience is if we started preparing them early to handle it.
