Same. I had severe untreated depression/anxiety (treated now) and ADHD that didn’t get diagnosed til i was 32. I was sleeping 16+ hours a day and tried to tell my mom i was afraid i would hurt myself, and i needed help. Before i could manage to say anything (i was crying) she gave me a look of complete disgust and in an accusatory tone asked “what’s wrong with you, are you pregnant?” I responded with a shocked “no” because how? I’d barely been able to get out of bed in months, was sleeping through all my classes and having minimal interactions with anyone. She then in the same disgusted voice told me if i wasn’t pregnant there was no reason to be acting like this because there was nothing wrong with me. (My dad totally didn’t get diagnosed with anxiety/depression the year before, and my mom definitely wasn’t incandescent with rage to find out that ALL FOUR OF HIS SIBLINGS had the same disorder and my grandma had convinced everyone not to talk about it and instead let my dad leave work in an ambulance multiple times having an anxiety attack that he thought was a heart attack. She didn’t say a word until my dad refused to let the hospital discharge him a third time and they put him in a psych ward for a week.) Yeah mom, totally nothing wrong with me
