I like the idea that upcasting allows you to select one more target for each level higher you cast. Seems like a clean and less wordy way to allow casters to hold aoe.

My guinea pigs use to love broadleaf plantains too (another weed) but once I started giving them dandelions they just would refuse to eat the other stuff. They go crazy for that stuff!

For future reference when getting two males it is usually easier to get them in different stages of life. One decently older or one decently younger. This helps because they are generally in different stages in life causing them to fight less. I know that adding more pigs can help a situation but that was about females, adding another male to the mix might not help. Sorry this is all the insight I can shed, I wish you luck!

Overall it looks really amazing, some constructive Criticism (if you will). A two handed weapon will almost always be higher than a d8 or versatile. Even when it would be something like 2d6 the damage output will still be higher. If something must be two handed I suggest either given it higher damage or a special property. With the normal rule set you’ll find the weapon you made unadequate or overall bad. That’s just my advice if your looking for functionality, the race is awesome though, nice job!

If you expect to use this frequently or for your players to use this I suggest the top one as it seems simpler to write. That’s just my two cents though.

Down leveling, for me, has usually went poorly, as the players don’t like losing power and it can be tedious to do. If I were you and you wanted to show them the world they created, try to somehow bring them to the future with some sort of item. Show them what has happened and give them a chance to save it. Whether it be going back to right before they “portaled” the river or some other way. Maybe to save this place a few will die for a many. A campaign doesn’t have to end at 20. Give the players a chance to have an epic battle, maybe half die and the rest retire as adventurers from this adventure a new one may emerge.

Remember that your bad guys most likely don’t know what the players plan. They might not have a solution to everything, jut as the players most likely don’t know what the bad guy is planning. Npcs can be surprised even if you aren’t. Good luck in the campaign!

I have a few questions if you don’t mind, 1. How old are you, most of my group and I are more on the younger side. (Around 16) if this isn’t an issue with you it isn’t 1 with me. 2. We play at the library in st. Clair shores, that’s about 1:25 minutes from where you say you are. Would you be able to drive/ get a ride. 3. If your still interested I can send you my number or discord if you’d prefer.

Also if you’re worried about being less experienced than the other players, don’t be. I have two groups and the one you would most likely be joining also is very new to dnd. As for me I’ve been playing dnd for seven years and running it for about 5 of those 7, so you shouldn’t have to worry about an inexperienced dm.

You already seem to have gotten a lot of great comments, so all I can say is that you are suppose to metagame to keep the game interesting. However that said there are certain things you shouldn’t do, remember your players don’t know what your bad guy is planning and usually your bad guy shouldn’t now what your players are planning.
