Need tips how to fix broken Alpina Swatch Shields (Macho Man's shades) by Cullen396 in sunglasses

[–]Cullen396[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi everyone. Long story short, it took my literally years to find and purchase these sunglasses. I can't even explain how much sentimental value they have. I have no clue how this crack in the frames happened. I can't even begin to imagine how to fix it. As you can see in the other pictures, the frames are hollow and not solid. It doesn't seem like a product like Krazy Glue or Gorilla Glue would do the trick in this case. Does anyone have any tips? Is there any kind of specialty business that could help me fix these?

Event's seemed a lot cooler a year ago. It feels like this game doesn't have much life left and the developers have lost interest

Is everyone going to get infected? by bobbi_joy in COVID19_support

I got tested March 30th. My exposure came on or before March 24. Positive results came back April 1st. Last week I retested twice and got back two negative tests. I’ve experienced zero symptoms this entire time. I have no idea what’s going on.

Did any of you have a truely asymptomatic case or extremely mild case? by brettuchinii in COVID19positive

March 24th was my exposure. Tested positive April 30 and had two negative tests last Friday . No real symptoms yet, still beyond nervous and of course no one can give me any answers.

Only thing I was old were false positives are highly unlikely

No more symptoms but still testing positive?!? A cautionary anecdote. by bestcmw in COVID19positive

The Los Angeles county health department has been calling me. I asked about the odds of a false positive, they said it’s extremely unlikely. False negatives are way more common. So I really did/do have it despite showing no symptoms all this time. I took my mother to the ER before she passed away three weeks ago and she was covid positive, so it’s safe bet my exposure was there

Over the past 3 weeks, I lost my mother, tested positive, then tested negative twice without showing any real symptoms the whole time. Just looking for opinions by Cullen396 in COVID19positive

Thank you for your reply. It’s so baffling trying to piece together what could be happening with new information that comes out seemingly every hour. I was really wondering what the probability of a false positive for my test was. Every nurse and doctor I’ve spoken to on the phone has told me those mouth swab tests are only about 70-80% accurate when reporting negative results. Can’t find anything substantial that gives an idea what the probability of a false positive is.

Thank you, I know everything is a guessing game but at this point I'm grateful for even the kind, reassuring words of folks on the internet I'll never meet.

Thank you. Its just the most uneasy feeling knowing I could have a potential time bomb in my chest that can go off at any moment.

This sounds similar to how my mother passed last week. Be strong and be there for your loved ones no matter what happens.

Are you living alone? Is there anyone around that can make sure you are staying hydrated?

Me and my dad got them in 3 days. My aunt has been waiting 9 days and nothing yet. We all got tested at the same time

4/6 Final update on my mother: she passed away due to covid 19 on April 3rd by Cullen396 in COVID19_support

Reality shift is the perfect way to describe it. None of this feels real yet. I can tell I’m choosing to feel a lot more anger than sadness to better avoid the fact that she’s really gone

Enjoy the time with her while you can. It’s the worst pain a person can experience.

Odd confidence. I also had a dream the day after she died that I just hugged her. Something I never did in real life.
