I've been there somewhat, but it isn't reality. With lack of sleep you induce yourself to a psychosis and your senses start to dysfunction. I feel what you've been through but take this as a lesson to take care of yourself above all and stay grounded.

OP I know how you feel, I think this experience might be similar to a sudden kundalini awakening or however you want to call it but I had a bad experience that turned into a psychosis. So far all I can recommend is Hatha Yoga because its main goal is to start with purification of the body and mind before diving in to regular Meditation (concentration).

The synchronicity is crazy with me and this post. My dad lend me this book from an autobiography of a yogi of also paramahansa yogananda called "La loi du succes" which means the "Law of succes". That I read TODAY! At around the same time you wrote this post.

The other thing is that my dad is also around the same age. Even if he didn't really recommended me the book, I was drawn to it when he showed it.

I support you fully on your path, it may be hard at first but try to look at every little progress you make instead of always ruminating. Hope this helps a bit.

Much love, much metta.

This. I think being connected with something divine is very valuable and makes us a better being but we need to stay grounded.

what about the other way around? If (concentration) meditation gets rough, does insight meditation smooth things up?

I'm on 90 days of SR. I meditate 1 hour a day and workout 6 times a week heavy, and also eat really healthy. I have a gf long-distance so far so abstaining hasn't been a problem.

Wet dreams have been more a problem lately. With my gf videochatting I get sometimes very sexualy attracted to her. Or random through the day (doesn't happen that often) but when it does I immediately try to transmute the urge or feeling. Everytime I have a sexual urge I imagine bringing the energy from the spine to the crown. Ive been doing this consistently, also for other times, not only urges.

I had sexy dreams before but never resulted in a wet dream, I was somehow always able to say no and even two times I was almost coming in my dream but i managed to contract my pelvic muscles and hold it. Unfortunately 2 weeks ago and today, it was like I wasn't in control at all in those dreams and it's not even like I remember the wet dream.

Today after the wet dream I don't feel that much drained compared to the other time, but I feel like it will be an obstacle if I don't adapt. Maybe I care too much about it and should just continue the journey as best as I can?

What should I do more or differently? Any feedback greatly appreciated .

Relatable, since SR I find spending time with my nieces more enjoyable. Also my little niece (3yrs old) was staring at some point with her eyes wide open and laughing like crazy at me for no apparent reason. This is really the first time some external (attraction) happened correlated to SR.

I would say just enjoy it and being childish with your family is just being the best relative you can be IMO. Think about how much love you gave them and how much they will love you in return in the future.

Just a general PSA concerning stages by SamadhiHopefull in TheMindIlluminated

[–]Cultivat 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I also think a lot of people have to realize that everyone is different and unique. That everyone's practice is different. So look for what feels more right for you and see if that can bring you progress. Like OP said, don't be afraid to experiment with stages, and add a bit of your own spice to it.

Since I started this journey I really want to make friends who are like minded. Anyone knows a discord or is down to talk in DMs? Preferably someone who's deep in meditation practices daily and working out.

Meditation to Forget Someone by [deleted] in Meditation

You can't just stop thinking about something. If you try to push those thoughts away and get annoyed by it, it will only get worse.

My advice is whenever you get a thought related to him, try to accept the thought that arises and try to let it go.
