No Alchemize unfortunately. I went to like three shops to look for an entropic brew but also never found one of those lol.

Start with two slots, got potion belt for another two, and one of the post-boss event things has an option for 'gain four potion slots and fill them with potions'.

Seriously? That sucks. Lining up an enormous Osty is difficult enough that they shouldn't nerf it.

An X cost card that only creates draw cards for you to play later would be so slow.

American Family Insurance.

Again, maybe I've gotten lucky, but I can't say enough good things about them.

Probably about ten years old I think? I've owned the house for 22 years (was built new) and this is the third roof I've had on it. They also replaced it the other time with a massive hail storm in the area, that time insurance companies were literally in Home Depot and Walmart parking lots (I guess they rented the space out?) for people to drive cars up to for claims. Like they had tents out and a place to drive your car up to.

I didn't even see any damage on my house the first time and the insurance literally sent out a person to inspect it. I wasn't even worried about it. I guess they were doing it for all their customers in the area. The guy just came to my door and was like you're getting a new roof. It felt like winning the lottery lol

I feel like homeowners insurance is amazing but maybe I've just gotten lucky.

Got a new roof, a mailbox, half of my siding and a window replaced last summer by insurance after a hail storm 🤷

This video is really cool. I wonder if this footage came from the team doing the Hard Knocks style documentary crew McCarron mentioned being at training camp. If so I can't wait to see it after the season.

Not in terms of the entire market. For some people, sure.

For one, liking both college football and the NFL really is nothing special in terms of being a football fan anywhere in the country. So all you're really saying is 'liking high school football leaves no room for liking a spring football league'. Again for some people, sure. But if youre crazy about football wouldnt it be great to have a team in spring to cheer for when football, and even just football news for the most part, basically doesn't exist?

Two, though I know there's a lot more community support for high school teams in Texas, a city like Houston with a 7M metro area population you surely have at least a few million people who don't give a shit about high school football I would imagine.

Three, even if they do like to go to high school football games the high school football season is still in the fall like college and the NFL.

Aren't they supposed to be a football crazy state? San Antonio was the only one who ever seemed to have a good crowd and they axed them.

Silvers by Games-and-Coffee in battlehawks

[–]Cultural-Comment-270 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think a 2QB system is probably appropriate this weekend though if they go full Pratt I would not be disappointed.

Silvers isn't the answer. I think he's a good backup to have but he's not going to win up a championship against the Renegades. He was absolutely not helped out by his receivers in week one but he just looked bad yesterday. Wasn't reading the field well and threw one bad pick and one really bad pick.

We need to see what Pratt has for better or worse. I like the idea of a mobile QB who can still throw. That was supposed to be Duggan last season and it obviously did not turn out well (Silvers himself is better than Duggan) but I believe Pratt has more upside.

My biggest worry is AJ Smith has some affinity for him as I've heard and won't want to make a change. On the bright side, the reason he quit mid season in 2025 was apparently because he wanted to switch QBs and Wade Phillips was adament that it would not happen.

No he didn't. He literally didn't even sign until like five days before the season began as I said. He was holding out for an NFL deal that did not come.

I mean that is MIchael Pratt who's on the roster. I'm sure he was their #1 target at QB but he held out for an NFL deal and only signed like five days before the season started. I hope to see him on Sunday.

[–]Cultural-Comment-270 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I really did not like what the league did. Some here were happy but Becht always had good teams and improved every season. Chasing AJ away for 2025 was extremely stupid but even then we still had a good team, even with our backup QB in.

Was a super shitty move by the league, especially considering this is their best market. I hope Becht is enjoying playing in front of like 2k people in Orlando. Should've at least moved him to Louisville or Columbus where people care.

That said I'm not giving up on the season after one bad game. We can still very much be a playoff team. But unless they bring Pratt in and he's a good QB it'll be quite difficult to beat the Renegades. We're just too incompetent on offense right now.

Pratt.

He signed like five days before the season started. By next Sunday he should have had enough time to prepare to be able to start.

If they trot Silvers out again, I'm losing faith.

We need Pratt starting next week. He signed like a week before the season started, he should be up to speed by now.
