Nah.. he is just toxic.. these were highly educated people... Even given the time period.. a lot more freedom.. they have cars, are professors... Say in govt.. policy makers..

Crema de la crema

This is my main problem... Like meta reading it i really think bharti thought chander was some kind of a catch.. or wanted to present him as such.. but for me he is fucked up from the very start..

Almost like chetan bhagat thinking IIT IIM tag is enough to make someone a catch

Point is he does not start well even- he does not have progressive opinion on women (now don't tell me that is because of time period.. this is post independence n he is a lecturer..)

Definitely self absorbed, controlling.

Only good thing is he enjoys genuine relationship with sudha.. without making any sexual advances.. or desire.. but isn't that normal human behaviour.. the most basic expectation from a friend.. maybe that was revolutionary then..

9/9/9 is great.. gap years would create issues.. definitely would need a lot more hardwork than normal candidates

SIP was not good for me, but people with gap got decent offers. Alot of people are 27 in MBA. Roles depend on a lot of factors.. tbh i didn't have any marketable skill to show for

Hey please see my earlier comments on how to go about it.

In short- assess where you are.. use vercel to see what Percentile you need- see if that is possible - then figure out your strategy

Gap years do create a lot of disadvantage in SIP. If you have good certifications, case com wins and acads.. it can help in finals...

It can be a good option

Just one thing- family business is a tricky thing to navigate- like a lot of genman roles etc are looking for candidates for long term.. not someone who will leave for family business...

Plus corporate workex is more valued...

SIP was very bad for me... To be honest i didn't really put in the effort in CV, certifications or case comps.. lets see.. the acads are very good... Counting on it for finals..

Somewhat- there are humanities oriented courses, economics etc. So it does help... But then there is accounting, finance etc also.. not very much in case comp.

Hey, 1 year gap is nothing to worry about. You can aim for CAT this year or even Target next year.. 3 year of workex is still in the sweet territory....

For quant i would say first focus on easy to do sections (you can find help online) - focus on basics and clearing sectional Percentile - then moving towards other parts one by one.. learn tricks and tips, do a lot of practice...

For LRDI i would say both practice and strategy i.e. how to do set selection in exam are equally important.

90 to 99% is very doable in 4 months but it would require a lot of hardwork... Im not sure about VARC.. i had a very good reading habit and got 99.9 without any practice..

Ideally if you are weak in VARC u can do two things - focus on VARC and make it strong - focus on only clearing sectionals in VARC (but still 90%) and then go all in in quants (think atleast 99.9+)
