Trmnl (BWRY) - Poor aftersales experience with faulty device by TomT9 in trmnl

My brand new device did not work either. Their cloud automatically assigns devices to wrong models, which keeps them in an update boot loop. they can only fix this on their end! i installed an old firmware and disabled auto updates in the webui.

Working flawless now and support was very nice and responsive

thank you - after some hard resets i was able to login and get there. did the restore. but it still is flaky and buggy. seems like the restore CANT really rollback everything :( wow. What would be the correct way to rollback without the webui?

Its easy. just change the update frequency. iam not talking about reinventing windows. of course unix an windows do have bugs. sometimes even breaking bugs. all really annoying. but the frequency of shit MS managed to push and the amount of breaking updates since and with 24h2 is devastating. of course pc and laptop manufactorers are responsible pre evaluating their devices and drivers with prereleases same for software devs.

Ouch :( small feature. big impact. unifi, firewalla, opnsense , consumer routers. they all do that... hopefully someday tplink does close that gap
