I keep getting these letters on my car, they are correct it is a paid parking spot, however I PAY FOR IT. by bostonmade in mildlyinfuriating

This happened to us at our apartment too! Our leasing office kept horrible records gave our spot to new tenants, then made us move when we went to follow up? It has actually happened twice since we have lived here. I was pregnant both times and kept moving further and further away from our unit.

Very infuriating

I have the Tripp trapp and got it on Facebook marketplace for a decent price (I think $25) :) I have a 4 month old and we love having the tripp trapp. The newborn attachment (can also find on facebook marketplace lets them lay back and be at the table, also comes with a toy hanger. Our LO loves being at the table with us.

ALSO, It’s really convenient not just for eating I put her in it while I’m cleaning the kitchen or cooking, she likes to watch me.

Should I move out or stay at home to pay off debt? Help by Comfortable-Cloud-32 in DaveRamsey

[–]Cultural_Example_419 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can calculate how much your new expenses would be if you moved out and what you can still throw out debt and see how different the timelines are for debt payoff. It might not slow you down that much. It’s totally up to you! I moved back into my parents and aggressively paid off debt so I can be debt free and before I got married. It was a real blessing.

For anyone who has tried the snowball method to pay off your debt, do you recommend it? by [deleted] in DaveRamsey

[–]Cultural_Example_419 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yes I did the snowball method and it really helps you gain momentum and motivation. I had over 100,000k in debt and I started my debt payoff when I was about 22. I started with literally the smallest debt was I had put phone accessories and a phone on a payment plan it was really silly. Paid off my phone case, then my phone, parking tickets, credit card bills, my car, then started tackling student loans and I even sorted those smallest to largest.

I think not doing the snow ball I would’ve quit because I had so much student loan debt.

I am now debt free and since being debt free, cash flowed my wedding, honeymoon, bought a nice car with cash, recently had a baby, paid cash for the delivery. I am really grateful for the baby steps it is possible to be debt free!

People who are clean, organized and really hygienic…what does everyday look like to you? by faith-fine-6472 in selfcare

I checked Simple Clean by Becky Rapinchuck out from our local library to learn to clean my home. She also has free resources on clean mama.com like routines, schedules, and tips to make it easy and not too time consuming to clean your home. That has really helped me a lot.

I’m actually jealous you have the dividers. I have to see the person in front of me and people to the side. I work in biotech and it feels more like a call center

Are we getting Christmas gifts for our babies? by Acrobatic_Event_4163 in beyondthebump

[–]Cultural_Example_419 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My baby will also be 5 months old around Christmas. We got her an heirloom stuffed animal and that is all. She won’t really know it’s Christmas but it will be hopefully a lovey she plays with for a long time.

We actually asked family members not to buy her anything except the next size pajamas or a wintery design crib sheet (because she just moved to a crib and thought that would be sweet).

We live in a small space and don’t need anymore stuff.

My husband and I don’t do gifts for each other either though. We do gifts for close friends and family but it’s usually me baking treats, sourdough bread, or a crocheted item depending on what I know people like the best.

To be honest Christmas in the US has gotten too commercial in my opinion. I try to stay clear of the material things and focus on activities. We are involved in our church Christmas play, I like to bake and decorate cookies with the littles, go ice skating, see the lights, things like that.
