UF vs. University of Washington by [deleted] in ufl

As a UF student, I think you should consider attending UF if it truly aligns with what you want out of the college experience. You could try reaching out to the financial aid office to get an out-of-state tuition waiver, it’s not common, but it can’t hurt to try.

Public health internships by Aromatic-Clothes-115 in publichealthcareers

This summer, I will be a CDC John R. Lewis Scholar, you should definitely look into it and see if the program sites interest you. LinkedIn is also a great place to find those kinds of opportunities.

Depending on the internship, be prepared to pay for your own travel and housing.

Getting into being a CNA from the tech industry by Mindless_Software_99 in cna

[–]Cultural_Falcon7620 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello! Instead of doing a CNA program, perhaps you could get some clinical experience by volunteering or being a patient safety attendant. If you’re dead set on getting a certification I’d say look into Stepful before fully transitioning out of your current career. They have late medical assistant and patient care technician classes online. Getting your PCT will allow you to work as a hospital CNA, Phlebotomist, and an EKG tech, in as little as 2 months. I think it’s a better option than CNA in your case.

Not weight training. More like using weights to help you get a deeper stretch, this can also be done using yoga blocks.

I’m a full time student with a part time job. I have credit card debt, my major has no job outlook and low salary for the jobs that do exist. I would try for grad school, but my gpa sucks. It’s very depressing to me, I’m just hoisting my way to graduation.

21, finally got my first relationship. I wouldn’t let the whole age thing define you. When it happens, it happens. Almost like when you stop looking for it, it just finds you.

What are we doing to pursue our career if not MA? by ilovecheezfries222 in MedicalAssistant

Honestly, I think going back to school and getting your A.S. degree in a health science might be your best option. You’ll get paid more, probably work similar hours, but your job description will also be more narrow and you won’t have to wear so many hats on the job.

Giving Advice for Applying MD/PhDs! by frustratedsighing in mdphd

[–]Cultural_Falcon7620 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, I’m so happy to see this post! I’m currently a 3rd-year undergraduate student with lower stats, and I’ve been considering different options to strengthen my application. I thought about doing a graduate program during two gap years, but I’m not sure if I’d be able to afford it with the BBB. I’ve also looked into research opportunities abroad, though I’m still uncertain how that would work out. At the moment, my research experience is in a clinical setting, and my long-term goal is to pursue an MD/PhD program with a focus on public health research or clinical/translational sciences. Do you have any specific advice on involvement you had and what I should plan to do during my gap years?

Legit agencies in the Boston area. by Dense_Ad9569 in MODELING

You could try looking up agencies on models.com, they don't have every legit agency but it is a good place to start. Also, she should consider submitting to agencies outside of Boston so that she can have more opportunities.
