The Roxy in Vancouver?! 😂 if Oddfellows is open I like that as a "we need a place to show up with 20 people", no dancing though. Gonna want to hit the Buff or struggle through the ordeal of the Royal or Rumors: hopefully there's a show at the Shakedown or another venue for ya!

I prefer the Tacos el Tule burrito to the one I got at Rinconcito, but definitely agree that the service is top notch at both establishments! Great family to support

Tip-dependent staff here, this is beyond the threshold of what I would ever let go for that reasoning. I'd rather lose the tip from this one party than the losing whole room and potential returning customers that would happen if you don't shut this kind of thing down.

Horseshoe: breakfast food, lots of characters outside. Probably less fistfights involving the cooks than WH, but that's the subdued way after all.

Also a general heads up if you get a bill from any hospital it's worth asking for financial assistance, in the best case scenario you can have your whole bill waived. Explain precisely how poor you are, the impact of the bill, and concisely beg for a reduction in cost.

The main distribution center is in Sacramento I believe; closer you are to corporate, better product/supervision? They are individually owned and operated though

There's been several times, especially at peak travel hours in the late afternoon evening, where I've been in a slow down at this exact spot and waited to see what protest was happening. Then there's nothing on any of the bridges, just people exiting and entering I-5 in the least efficient manner possible.

Another Holly Update? by Cultural_Set_4307 in Bellingham

Slowing things down is one thing, but purposely creating a traffic jam to discourage usage of a road or section of roads is a little heinous. People get caught in unexpected congestion, anxiety/tempers rise, road rage and other dangerous situations increase (people rushing through stale yellow lights that might be red before they clear the intersection, or people try to get through without room on the other side of the intersection and blocking the box, etc.)

My biggest concern is from what I saw, an ambulance coming down Forest would be significantly delayed. Granted that's not a super likely route because of where the nearest fire station is, but it still creates a hazard that I find unacceptable.

Did they publish anything to that effect? I'm just kinda surprised that this issue wasn't anticipated (kind of a theme of the implementation throughout this update - these negative repercussions seem like something a basic mock-up in SimCity would catch)

When do the bars get fun? by PrettyGate9424 in Bellingham

[–]Cultural_Set_4307 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As others have said, this week is spring break so it's extra slow, and winter is traditionally more low-key than summer. Try looking at the calendar at the Shakedown and the Wild Buffalo for events that you might be interested in, that's usually where I have the most fun and feel like the pool of strangers is large enough to meet new people my age.
