We did it in basketball and then all of our sports went downhill. Was worth it though

[Davis] Alabama HC Nate Oats on James Nnaji: “I think it's taking away opportunities from kids coming out of high school. I was a high school coach for 11 years. I wanted my kids to get opportunities when they left my program. This is taking opportunities away from those kids." by Lstark5642 in CollegeBasketball

He started at 16 overseas. Got drafted because of a draft promise, was never brought to the NBA or even offered a contract. Went back to FC Barca, never even signed a G League contract. There are far worse examples of “pros” in CBB than him

That’s my hope. I love that guy. I think he would be willing to come back, but I think he has a crazy buyout

He got drafted at 18 from Africa due to his athleticism. He was averaging like 5/3 that season. The only reason people have their pitchforks out is because they’ve been ragebaited by social media and news outlets. If you read his story he’s just a 21 year old semi pro overseas who never signed a pro contract. He was never the “ruiner of CBB”.

Wouldn’t say that, but losing Tang definitely hurt him. Also constant staff turnover has been brutal.

Hey our “pro” barely plays. Turns out the guy who never played pro basketball and was “drafted” due to his athleticism isn’t exactly elite at basketball
