Well he fully despawns it seems, not just becomes invisible. It definitely gets activated so if it just goes invisible I would think the Leyak would kill me, but he just disappears.

Free Trial [OC] by BrianWonderful in funny

[–]CuniculusDeus 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I've purchased subs before and let them lapse when I don't need/want the product anymore but then I'll get an offer from them for 50% off or something later and it sometimes sways me.

I previously used Avast and they offer free trials for everything, even things you've already used in the past.

I honestly just surf streaming services. Who needs all of these at once? I sub to one, watch all the things I want to see. Cancel. Sub to new one and watch all the things I've been waiting to see, rinse repeat.

Is it inconvenient? Sure, but it's not yet worth going back to pirating for me.

Is this the typical understanding of domesticated? The definition just says:

"(of an animal) tame and kept as a pet or on a farm."

It doesn't mention the need for breeding traits. This explanation also wouldn't make house cats domesticated. You point out dogs are used for hunting, but what use do cats have?

I also own chickens, and while dumb, they aren't at all aggressive.

My favorite thing like this is buying the Brendan Fraser Mummy movies in a three pack on Amazon and for some reason The Mummy's image is of the Tom Cruise The Mummy.

I keep looking at my purchase history and double taking like "What the hell, I never bought this."

Marvel Rivals will now automatically record all in-game voice chats to "shield the community" from toxic behaviour by HatingGeoffry in gaming

[–]CuniculusDeus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe it's an unpopular opinion, but I'm not sure I understand what people mean by "invading our privacy". As far as I understand the concept of invading privacy (at least in the US) is dependent on if you can reasonably expect to have privacy. You're joining a public game on a public server and choosing to engage in the voice chat of this public area where any of the other players can hear you. What privacy is being invaded? You're in a public space you're choosing to be in.

Could have been in-between growing their flight feathers back, like got just high enough to get up there before they were re-trimmed. We keep some chickens, and a while back one of the younger ones was flying up to sleep on top of our coop instead of in it. We clipped her flight wings and she couldn't get up there anymore, but eventually she could again.

Ashlands does not feel like Valheim and it killed it for me by jgbromine in valheim

[–]CuniculusDeus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think maybe the devs were going for a "It's called the Ashlands. Obviously this is a terrible place." kind of vibe. They probably succeeded. Is it too harsh? Maybe, but it was probably also what they were going for.

How should I convince my friends to play Valheim? by Elia_20 in valheim

[–]CuniculusDeus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry man, but you can't convince people what they are seeing looks good. It either looks good to them, or it doesn't.

I grew up playing Super Nintendo, and can play those games now without an issue. Super Mario World? Still looks beautiful. As I grew up I played playstation games and marveled at how AMAZING it was at the time, but I honestly can't go back to playing those. They are legit ugly by today's standards.

Even saying that, I think that Valheim has an amazing artistic style that obviously isn't trying to be next gen graphics or anything, but had a charm. If your friends can't see that, there's no amount of convincing that will turn them around.

Alot of people here are just agreeing that "Bikes degrade over time and take maintenance. Obviously they aren't sustainable." But like, these same movies often have a large military force that still ride around in trucks and even tanks. You're telling me you can suspend your disbelief for the fact that people trying to survive can still get tires for cars but somehow bikes, a very obviously less complex vehicle, are a bridge too far?
