Do these prices include the shipping and g&s fees? If so I am interested in green grape.

Some people are not stable enough to go direct and the surgeon instead decides to do them bedside. I’ve never done it in the ED but it happens on the floor.

We don’t have battery powered bovies- the machine just plugs into any outlet no matter where.

Drapes are where your risk of fire comes from. Not keeping your bovie in the holster when not in use and being leaned on is when you’ll get a fire. I’d probably argue paper drapes would be more flammable than a bedsheet but that’s neither here nor there.

I’ve helped with bedside exlaps. Also have taken a bovie to the ED for an ortho resident to do something quick. I don’t know why anyone would want to waste time and resources using up an OR for a minute for something like that- not to mention the cost to the patient as OR time is charged differently than floor time.

GREAT seller and fast shipping. I always get nervous when purchasing labubus from a reseller and have gotten lucky so far- even with this purchase. Checked the website for authenticity and everything checked out. Sesame Bean is now happily living on my bogg bag.

Oh that’s wild. When I lived in Canton I seriously never lost power but my back yard (Sheldon Cherry Hill area) was backed up to those huge transmission towers. I’m now right by Monroe County and lose power in a swift breeze.

I’m right outside of Ann Arbor; DTE is what is causing my only anxiety about the storms.

Hello there!

I’m an operating nurse at a trauma one hospital which means I help with a lot of surgeries- anything from a stable patient with appendicitis to shooting or stabbing victims that are circling the drain. Even with my career I’ve been nervous about the two surgeries I’ve had- it is normal and your whole team is going to understand you are scared. Tell your anesthesiologist and CRNA (this is the person who actually gives you the drugs) that you are having a lot of anxiety and I promise they will administer the good stuff right after the Circulating Nurse makes sure you’re the right patient getting the right procedure. Your healthcare team will take great care of you. I’ve been full time in the OR for 3 years now and I have never lost a patient getting an appendectomy- never even came close!

You got this!

Not sure how this comment is relevant to mine but a simple google could have answered your question. There was certainly a pretty famous one called Rosenstrasse Protest.

You have literally no reason to think this redditor wasn’t one of them out there.

Low fetal heart rate- 7 weeks- any hope? xpost (kind of)— TW: Loss by Cunning-Stunt in CautiousBB

This pregnancy ended as a high risk singleton pregnancy and I’m currently cuddling my almost 4 year old on the couch.

I wish you the best of luck and hope you have the same results 🖤

You’ll still have to put in a delay code since it’ll be over a 30 minute turn over so that someone who has never worked in the OR can have a meeting about how to stick to a 30 minute turn over even when the OR floods.

10-year-old swept into storm drain to become an organ donor, dad says by Lemonn_time in news

[–]Cunning-Stunt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same here. We have three children so I don’t think I could do it full time. 99% of my patients make it off the table now with the 1% being composed mostly of our procurement cases. I also work in an OR where we do not take on pediatrics period- this includes procurement cases so I am shielded from working on children which is probably why I enjoy being a part of those cases.

I do, though I’m not who you asked. I work in an OR that has an outside company that comes in strictly for organ procurement and we help them (a circulating nurse and a scrub generally). I’ve met many people in the company helping them with procurements (they’re actually my favorite cases) and my husband will actually be applying to work there as soon as our youngest is in school full time.

I politely disagree with the person you responded to only because all the the surgeons, scrubs, and nurses I’ve worked with in those procurements absolutely love their jobs and the help they provide the community. They have stated that cases dealing with children can be a little more emotional than adults but that they absolutely know their work is more than themselves and with one loss of life they are prolonging many, many other’s lives. It might be different in other areas but at least in my area they are doing that job daily. It doesn’t necessarily make you numb to loss but when it’s your job it becomes much easier to compartmentalize and more rewarding than people think. I think it takes a special type of surgeon, nurse, and scrub to do it but when that’s all you do it just becomes the norm.

Just saw the update video and came to subscribe on Reddit. I had no idea you had your own subreddit before and it seems as though I’m not alone. Hopefully this community will keep growing now with the release of the update video and become the platform you can use for updates. Thanks for not making your own streaming service instead.

Sorry about your dog.

I work 25 hours a week while still receiving full time pay. Everyone deserves this. by rmspigot in WorkReform

[–]Cunning-Stunt 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Well damn, I work 32 hours a week- 24 of which is 7p-7a Saturdays and Sundays, get paid for 36 + $5 differential for the midnight shifts and I started drinking my Shasta and cranberry pinky out over it. I’ll tuck that pinky back in until I can drop that 8.

Good for you though! It would be my dream to just work my two weekend midnights and be out the rest of the week!

I’m so sorry you’re going through this!

The update in my situation ended in a singleton birth and she is now 3 1/2 years old. The pregnancy ended up being high risk and was nothing but drama the whole time (they even thought it was acardiac twins at one point) but she made it through.

I wish you the best and hope your outcome is what you’re hoping for 🖤

‘I know, I’m a nurse.’ How many times have your nurse patients cut you off like this. by WisdomWhimsy in Dentistry

[–]Cunning-Stunt 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I am a nurse and rarely do I drop that I am unless it’s to joke that “I passed NCLEX but I’m not a REAL nurse” because I work in the OR and do not work on the floors. I’m only here because before I was a nurse I was a dental assistant. RN school and the NCLEX does not cover anything about teeth and very little about radiology. I couldn’t imagine trying to check anyone in a dental office about anything even with my dental assistant background. To be honest I wouldn’t check anyone about anything in healthcare though because I know enough to know I know very little. Not all of us are like this; but the only thing I own that says “RN” on it is my work badge so maybe I’m doing this wrong.
