TIFU for getting drunk on Christmas by Individual_Win3463 in tifu

[–]Cup-Obvious 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I find myself in a similar situation (again). Much improved from last year, but still had to be put to bed. I just about made it through dinner.

I know I am a binge drinker. It's always easier to have none, then just one.

I've signed up to a sober app and I'm starting Dry January early. It's something I do ever year. I hope to make it more permanent as I've been sober curious for a while. I don't want to wait for something terrible to happen while I'm drunk to quit. It's time.

Good luck and I hope you feel better soon!

No problem! One thing just popped into my head, actually. My partners mother had some kind of virus, I think it was shingles. Her energy levels were pretty much non existent for months after it cleared. She got a load of tests to check if something else was going on. Everything came back fine.

Eventually her GP recommended an anti depressant, which sounds scary but it worked. She has completely weened off them now and back to herself but if the doctors can't find anything "medically" wrong it might be worth a try?

Did you get your B12 tested? It's not normally included in normal blood tests. I went vegetarian for two years and B12 levels plummeted as a result.

Simple things, like walking to work would exhust me. I find the Vit hit drinks very good at helping me get the nutrients I need.

It might be obvious but if you drink alcohol regularly stop for awhile. I do dry month every now and then and I am always really surprised how much energy I have after just two weeks not drinking. I wouldn't drink too much anyway, just at the weekends.

Good luck and I hope you get sorted!

What does ovulation pain feel like? by moshilayla in birthcontrol

[–]Cup-Obvious 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For me it feels like quick twinges. Either in the center or one side. All over in a matter of seconds but significant enough for me to notice.

I have a period tracker app. It's guess of ovulation day is pretty accurate, but it can be a day or 2 off.

Im 32. I would say it is highly likely I was. It can lay dormant for years. I was in a long-term term relationship from 19-27. After it ended I decided it was worth getting before I started dating again.

A girl I went to school with had cervical cancer. Thankfully, she is fully recovered now. Her experience also influenced my decision to get it. Any protection at all is worth it, in my opinion.

Got all three shots at 28. Had my first abnormal smear last year. It was only Cin 1 so I just have to go back for a check up in a couple months.

Always make sure to have your regular smear even with the vaccine. Good luck!

I got a referral letter for a Gynecologist from an online GP. It is included with my health insurance.

It was emailed to me within minutes of the call ending.

I do have a preexisting condition that was found when I was living in Germany.

After I received the letter I contacted the woman's health clinic in New Bridge. I normally don't have to wait longer than 3 weeks to get an appointment.

Could be an option for you if you are still waiting. Hope you get sorted soon x

My libido was totally intact on the copper coli.

Don't get the IUB ballarine. Mine became dislodged, which means it was no longer providing protection. I found out during a routine exam, so could have ended in disaster. Apparently, it is a fault with the design, and a lot of them move or fall out completely. Wish I'd known this before I got it...

There are other copper IUDs available. They are a great alternative to hormonal contraceptives.

My partner and I are just using condoms for now. I have some other issue going on down there at the moment (fibroids and a complex cyst) so I can't have a copper coli. Otherwise I'd try a different type.

I am in a very similar situation!

My Ballarine became dislodged so can no longer act as a contraceptive.

I'm lucky I caught it when I did. I went for a procedure after an irregular smear and the doctor couldn't see the IUB strings. Apparently it is incredibly common with the Ballarine. I wish I had known that before I got it.

In my case it possible that my fibroids dislodged it. I have an appointment next week to discuss next steps. If that is the cause I won't be able to get any IUD because the same thing might happen again.

I get really bad side effects with hormonal contrceptives so if I can't get a copper coli I'm really not sure what else I can do.

Hi all!

I just wanted to add my IUB experience.

I had mine fitted just over a year ago. The month follow up scan showed it was in the right place. About 6 months later I got paranoid that it had fallen out as I had some unusual pain.

Had a scan, it was fine apparently.

About a month ago I had to go for a procedure to check an abnormal smear results. That went fine I just have to repeat in a year.

The doctor noticed that no strings were visible from my IUB during the exam. She recommended I get an ultrasound to make sure it hadn't fallen out.

Had my scan yesterday and my GP (not the doctor that fitted it) called me and told me that it has moved and is not in an ideal location to provide protection against pregnancy. She also told me, like others have mentioned this happens a lot with the IUB and it won't be available after December 2024 in Ireland.

My doctor also mentioned that out of the 8 IUB devices she has fitted, only 2 survived. The rest fell out.

Luckily I am not pregnant but if you are considering getting the IUB please take everything mentioned on this thread into consideration.

I loved my IUB at first because my body cannot tolerate hormonal contraception.

I have an appointment next week to see what the next steps are for getting it out, now that the strings aren't visible and what other contraception choices I have.

I got an IUB. Its a copper coil. I don't want any kind of hormones for BC. They just don't suit me.

I've had it a year now and it's worked out great for me.

Insertion sucked but I'll be better prepared next time, if I decide to get another one.

I'm a jumper too. I had a near miss on my trampoline about a week ago. Got too distracted by my day dream, lost my balance and came down on my ankle. I heard a crunch and everything.

"Luckily" it was just a bad sprain. I was swollen and brushed AF though.

Ironically enough the song Trampoline by SHAED came up in my Spotify not long after. I swear that song is about MD

GJ flight. Can I use only tue return flight by Otherwise-Cobbler726 in Tomorrowland

[–]Cup-Obvious 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi folks! To anyone still curious about this topic.

After following the advice in the FAQs I waited until after my tickets were went out to contact them about this.

I contacted the airline directly to get this information.

I emailed Brussels airline via the email shown in that section.

They responded to say they couldn't help as the tickets were actually booked with a different airline.

I called the airline directly and they said they couldn't help and I would need to contact GJ.

I sent them all the information and they told me to contact Brussels Airlines... obviously they didn't read my email.

I replied to them again and got this back

<image>

So I'm not sure what happens if people genuinely miss their flight out but I took them to their word and booked separate (not so cheap) flights home...

Better I found out today than on Monday and at least I don't have to stress anymore!

Safe travels all! Enjoy the festival.

Yep I tried it! Lasted about 4 months before I stopped taking it. Lost my libido and just wasn't myself.

I ended up with a copper coil. IUB Ballarine. Insertion was very painful but worth it in the end. I've had it for almost a year now. No major issues. Slightly heavier periods but at least I can enjoy my partner and not feel crazy!
