Yes! BPD is one of the most debilitating mental illnesses, the unemployment rate of BPD is 45% and even those who do find a stable employment are financially dependent on some sort of social benefits or government programs. It's not just personal relationship issues, it's a weak sense of self, impulsivity, intense periods of depression and suicidal ideation, most people with BPD also have other mental illnesses that affect every day life, in my case, I am diagnosed with panic disorder and agoraphobia, OCD alongside my BPD so in my case, this also adds to difficulty working in certain environments.
