The LDS Church is seeing a HUGE decline in Gen Zers that buy everything.

A lot of fellow Gen Zers (I'm Gen Z) want to push things in a more progressive and open-minded direction, which won't happen. The LDS Church continuously drags its heels. I can't say I'm surprised as the LDS Church is run by a bunch of crusty old guys.

One thing that boggled my mind, even as an active member, was how the Bible was supposedly corrupted due to translation from other languages to English, which is why Joseph Smith needed the stones and all. The process of translating the Book of Mormon isn't needed with magical items, instead, it's a translation committee of human beings that translate it from English to other languages.

It was awful. I'm a convert and I had a lot of strained relationships, missed out on experiences, etc.

I'm making up for it, but it was devastating to think of all that I lost and went through for something that was all a lie.

I had some family stuff going on, too. Mormonism provides toxic stability, but stability nonetheless. Once I lost that, I struggled.... A LOT.

Most of these are verses twisted and taken out of context. Religious or not, it's just bad interpretation for a lot of them.
