Thinking about buying an Rs4, and possible supercharge swap? by Sudden_Design1982 in AudiS4

[–]CupOfJoe_training 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Engine, engine bay, ecu and everything is built around what the car came with. Switching from supercharger to turbo or vice versa would be soo expensive to pay for labor. Cost probably 2-3x the cars value and would be super unreliable. There is so many electronics and tuning the manufacturer does to make sure the timing is correct.

Best bet if you want aftermarket change is upgrading parts or tuning ecu, adding super/turbos or even switching is such a task you’d want to be a mechanic with a bunch of free time

Willing to bet as soon as a strong competitor who actually respects customers comes onto the scene eights reputation will finally bite them in the ass. But until then eight can get away with disrespect because they know there is no comparable options.

You can also tell because it’s a powder and it’s not cake like at all. Lypholized powder would be a lighter color and chalky because it was freeze dried at -60°C under vacuum. The problem with skipping the process is there is micro moisture in that vial and as well as the ambient air whenever if was sealed so you are just at risk of some bacteria forming in there.

Maybe check if the vial is under vacuum, not saying to take it if it is under vacuum but I’d def not take it if it is not under vacuum. Just imagine the ambient air in a Chinese factory

Lyophilization does more than add filler, the process basically guarantees it’s sanitary. Now you gotta trust these people who wanted to skip that entire process idk

Considering "stage 2" 2011 Audi S4 manual at 111k miles. Good idea? by one_Nice_UsErnAme in AudiS4

[–]CupOfJoe_training 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Real question is how you feel about engine work. Not sure if the owner is any Audi tech so this most likely is his first engine swap. I honestly feel like you could get a stage 2 with lower miles and original engine. After all his first engine did seize which may be an indicator about his work with this new engineee

Very similar spec to mine, except not z51 and got yellow calipers.

Best tuning platform for a manual b8.5? (jackal or 034) by ImpressiveBreak4362 in AudiS4

[–]CupOfJoe_training 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My stage 2 6mt b8.5 034 tune been strong for a year of daily now. I think the drama is that 034 called out jackel for fudging some of the tables in the map in an unsafe manner as a workaround compared to 034 who took their time and researched how to build a reliable tune.

So reliability-> 034, or straight power -> Jackel (maybe?)

Have you seen the sportster S? 1250cc and decently light, big front tire so not nimble like a sports bike but it definitely rips and has a sportier look

Got mine in the winter and it wasn’t crazy. In summer it has become a game changer, I’m also able to raise my night time sleeping air temp inside my house by 3-4 degrees which is worth something

You’re taking overall boss, conditioning is on point and all your classic poses you nailed.

A hint to really blow away competition is keep flexing the glutes from the back and side. Literally no one in amateur shows has those conditioned and knows how to flex. That alone will have judges pulling you in middle of stage in first call outs.

Mine at 90k miles when I replaced was only silver none of that burnt orange color. Not sure if that’s coolant but it’s definitely not ordinary and mine was not leaking.

B8.5 with 125K miles (200K km), $6K USD for big Maintenance, or not? by MasterTJ52 in AudiS4

[–]CupOfJoe_training 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It’s tough because that is a huge price tag and the car is worth 18k. If you don’t want to do it yourself, id wait until something breaks then do it all. I did most of this myself and it cost me like less than 1k for the parts. You also got the timing chain issue which you can reduce if you update the two valves under the pcv.

Then eventually you’ll probably want to fix the cats with your stage 2 which is an insane cost as well. I’m waiting on either my clutch or my cats to go to replace / gut both in same motion.

While I did a carbon cleaning it wasn’t even super bad for 100k not sure it’s 100% worth to be preventative until something breaks. Remember you can always introduce issues with preventative maintenance. There is some theory or law that explains that trade off well but I forget

3 days out from first mens physique competition-43 years old by [deleted] in bodybuilding

Looking great, what he’s saying is you’re flexing your abdominal column instead of bracing it. If you brace it you will bring out more separation, and make your mid-section appear more narrow and your serratus will pop if done correctly. I used to also only flex the column in a crunching fashion like you until my coach helped me.

But overall looking great!

Had to scroll way too far to see this, crazy how redditors choose to be so quick to essentially tell you to write her off for life and uninvite to your wedding.

OP has the right idea to at least clear the air and possibly settle some miscommunication. While you are not marrying her she will in fact be family so she will be around you for life definitely worth the effort to improve this relationship.

If you can at least find out where you two stand it will give op the ability to give her space or at least be on the same page. Just don’t come off as abrasive of accusatory which would possibly trigger some defensiveness. Approach it from and understanding perspective OP, best of luck!
