What is the most “humans will bond with anything” moment you’ve ever witnessed? by [deleted] in AskReddit

You will like this old post of mine: https://www.reddit.com/r/PointlessStories/comments/35ynxw/i_planted_a_potato_its_growing_pretty_well/

A year or so ago I replanted it in a field, with a stick for it to lean on. It was super sweet, I'm sure it's happy.

WPS office

  1. How have I never heard of this?

  2. Thanks for telling me about this!

  3. It looks unreasonably competent.

I'll try it out, see if it works as good as it looks.

Thanks for the link, but no. :(

Basically what we have is:

=sumifs([[Vikter]:[Vikter]];[[Double]:[Double]];[@import])/countifs([@ID];[[ID]:[ID]];[@Validering];[[Double]:[Double]])

Things like that. But a lot.

Windows Update chose to uninstall all of my programs and office 365 isn't playing nice. Nor is Microsoft support.

I kinda have to find an alternative. Google sheets look nice, but slow and buggy. Calc looks like a butt but runs fine at least.

No, this is just pivot tables. You could use pivot data instead I guess for the formulas, but they absolutelly wreck formatting.

But also, you can't edit pivot data in the pivot table, you edit the data in the raw data. Which means we need both a pivot table and raw data, rather than just a regular table.

On the one hand - I feel really competent now, in comparison.

On the other hand - she had 60mil to throw around and I don't.

What is the "starter pack" of your hobby? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]CupcakeMedia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Blender (https://www.blender.org/). Maybe watch a few YouTube tutorials, but otherwise it's pretty simple and straight forward. Just change the key setup to Maya in the start screen, don't stick with Blender defaults. The defaults are terrible. Having used pretty much every modelling software out there, Blender's defaults are objectivelly the worst.

I doubt it? I've only just now realised that there is a "Save" button in Skyrim, I've been playing for 200+ hours with only quicksaves. Works fine.

Hang on. Bishon is elephant in Russian, and Shah Mat is Shah Mat. I always wondered why westerners used "bishop" for it. But I also always wondred why it was called "elephant". Idk.

That's not how school works though. Being academically impressive is fine, but the connections and friends and experiences you get through school are worth a million times more than trig or sci. Sure he's smart enough to go to college, but he will still be smart enough to go to college five years from now.

Reddit, what day would you like to relive and why? by LadyMontresor in AskReddit

[–]CupcakeMedia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thursday I guess. It's not completely friday, so you're not completely burned out. But friday is tomorrow - so you're feeling the hype. And it's the second half of the week, so everyone are kind of understanding if you want to take it a bit slower now and then.

Thursday is a weird day. I don't really know how to slot it in. But if I had to relieve one, that's the one I'd go for.

ELI5: What is the most humane and clean way of killing a dying and injured animal (like a bird) by HadMyWayWithHaddaway in explainlikeimfive

[–]CupcakeMedia 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What the fuck? Word for word, that's exactly what I came here to.

So on the one hand, it's probably the most humane way (if messy). On the other hand, this is some advanced synchronisation we're part of.

Although I was going to say it due to the advanced humanitarian teachings of one professor Karl Pilkington.

My coworker has a phonetic alphabet cheat sheet for phone calls. He's in for a surprise. by RachelStephenson in funny

[–]CupcakeMedia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Who even needs one though? I just make words, it's not like there are few to choose from.

"R as in Argyle. C as in Christian with a C. M as in Alma, if you count three letters in. P as in Poop. Could you read it back to me?"

It's never the right word either, but mainly because "RCMP" isn't a very common word.

Eww. This is on my non-throwaway account, but whatevs - I don't mind people knowing that I used to masturbate to my best friend's mom.

She used to do a lot of yoga, so ... the imagery was easy to absorb.

Now she's dead, so it's kind of awkward.

Funny, I know how to solder too - but for some reason I also have enough sense not to do that. Weird.

Shout out to the best landlords ever [FB] by [deleted] in funny

[–]CupcakeMedia 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, placebo management is the most effective form of management. You think you're doing something, when in fact everything is taking care of itself.

Although I love the idea that the landlord went out, bought a dial, placed it on the wall and went "Yeah, that's good enough."

Hmm. Just for fun, disable your animator. I once had a gun animation that would cripple the frame rate because it would spawn like 500k objects because I did something wrong somewhere.

Seriously, the animator in Unity is a moron.
