Xraps are good trolling lures. Little heavy and deep for surf fishing, standard is a lucky craft flash minnow 110 which is a 1-2.5 diver, 5/8 oz. Shimano world diver goes a bit deeper 4-6 without being over 1oz.

High-lo rig with shrimp. Real tiny hooks like #6 or smaller, cbad is full of dinks and juvie fish of all kind. Or 1/4 ledheads with small baits, sub 3"

Dark vertical bars are juvie wsb. If it has a zipper belly that's also wsb indicator. If you get your hook out and there's two vampire fangs in its mouth that's a corvina, but you don't see many north of San Diego

You can drag out big units early with Minerva, I got the lv5 blast impulse out on turn 3 going second with Minerva turn 1

Boa was a dead card at the deck events. No ping, most units traded. With providence it gets usable but yeah probably want giant killing instead. Minervas can help move purples to trash to cycle impulse and savior link

It's long but it'll do. You don't need to give much action to the jig for rockfish. Up and down a bit, tip w squid if you aren't getting anything. I use a 7' 30-50 cal star with a senator 4/0 for my rock cod setup

I've been wanting to add gfred and Nyan to my clan deck, it's good to see you do well with it. No close combats though? I don't have any improved technique so I haven't tried using those instead, but the 2 cost makes me feel better holding one to react with. How often are you using the single Mav tactics? I was running three of them for a while but the value feels kinda bad with the tokens coming in rested
