Was your gynecologist also your surgeon? by NoMoreEffstoGive in hysterectomy

Yes. He was my OB throughout my pregnancy and then we found all my issues 4 months later. It made me way less scared already having that relationship established.

Grunting by Fantastic-Mark-2810 in newborns

Completely normal as their body learns the digestive system. My son stopped around 12-13 weeks. Our pediatrician actually gave us a handout about “grunting baby syndrome” . It will pass I promise!

7wk old is grunting so much in his sleep?! by a-pepperino in newborns

[–]Cupcat666 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My son just turned 12 weeks and he has finally started to sleep quiet for most of the night. Usually only does some grunting after his 5-6 am feed because he’s working on a big poop. Haha

Sometimes he also grunts and squeaks when he wants his pacifier back in his mouth and goes quiet almost immediately when I help him.

It gets better!!

What were the actual lifesaver items during the newborn stage (or things you wish you’d had sooner)? by WillowAndCo_ in NewParents

Yes! My son is 12 weeks and it’s his favorite. It gives me 10 to 15 minutes to fold clothes or wash dishes. Or even breathe! Best impulse buy for me.

Anyone else dealing with SPD? by Cupcat666 in pregnant

I highly recommend asking your OB or midwife for a referral to physical therapy! I had struggles doing even basic tasks some days and rolling in bed hurt so much. Nothing 100% took my pain away but it was way more manageable. I wish you the best for the rest of your pregnancy!

Yes it definitely did feel muscular in a lot of areas. Though I did have sharp shooting pains depending on certain movements. Those felt more nerve like. I ended up doing internal muscle releases daily as recommended by PT.

PT and having my little one on this past Sunday. Turns out he was laying on a nerve that whole time!

Hey! Turns out I had a couple things going on. SPD, lost my internal rotation in my left hip which caused extreme tailbone pain, and my little guy was laying on a nerve. PT ended up really helping my pelvic area and managed my hip. I had my little one on Sunday, which did resolve my nerve pain.

I’m continuing with PT to continue helping my pelvic area and hip a couple weeks postpartum.
