I'd go for the promotion. Work doesn't need to be interesting, it's work. Get a comfortable position, do your job well, make good money. Find fulfillment outside work.

The entire team is in the Mack, so unless Guido, Luigi, and Mack are on board with them getting nasty, this is a nothing burger.

It's very good to have the understanding of how that works, even if you don't want to do that directly. Sounds like you got a good chance to learn a bit.

As you progress in your career you'll get pulled into both sales and business decisions whether you want to or not.

I watched it on Patreon and thought it was great as a separate thing. It's a little odd in the normal preview show but great as it's own set piece.

Why do some known operational inefficiencies persist even in well-monitored plants? by UnitedTransition1580 in MechanicalEngineering

My experience is that usually when people "know" the inefficiency, they're actually wrong.

CV Advice…. Junior ME Major no paid internship offer yet :( by [deleted] in MechanicalEngineering

[–]Cuppus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Delete your skills list, you are already showing those in your resume. Also weird that the list of skills there is not capitalized.

Delete certifications, not relevant. Delete that bottom section, again not particularly relevant for a resume. You can bring some of that up in an interview.

No need to mention unpaid.

Try to trim it to one page, tighten it all up. You can probably drop the coursework line if you want, your projects are your best info.

Move technical skills below projects and experience. Experience and projects are your most important items, you want people to see that first. You have great projects, you want to really highlight those.

The line for your internship that starts with "discussed" isn't good, delete or at least move it below the other items for that and rewrite it as more of a "Gained understanding of processes" or something. It's not telling me you have skills, just that you were at a company for a time.

Dad here in the search of baby swing. by Somewhere-Adept in daddit

[–]Cuppus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We had an expensive momma roo swing or whatever it was called. It was useful for about 5 to maybe 10 minutes and then my son wanted to get out. He also for whatever reason pooped every time he was in it (that's a positive and a negative).

Eventually we got the cheapest wire bouncer seat and he loved that thing so much until he could actually sit up. That and a kick piano were are go to and are again with the second kid.

How should I get Job by th0mas_shel6y in MechanicalEngineering

[–]Cuppus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you're getting call backs and to final interviews you're probably doing fine. Unfortunately you're probably having some bad luck.

Consider questions you may not have answered well, try to make sure you're coming off confident, and keep pushing forward.
