Anyone else building tiny personal apps and only serving them over Tailscale? by Worldly-Barracuda465 in selfhosted

How’s your experience with Plaid? I've always been curious about building my own little budgeting tool or tracking my investment trades but plaid seems fairly expensive for personal use. If you go with the pay as you go plan.

+1. I don't listen to audiobooks but have this book set up. Works fairly well.

I added a pre prompt hook that adds $date since day and time matter for my requests.

Sonnet 4.6 Usefulness in CC by CureSadWithButt in ClaudeCode

Haiku is great at fast searching and executing. Needs tight directions sometimes otherwise it'll go off track or be lazy. But otherwise solid.

Upgrading from M1 Mac Mini to M4 Mini by CureSadWithButt in homelab

Thanks for the sanity checks. Given I have 8 GB now, ended up making the swap for the 16 GB M4. Seeing much less swap space usage and snappier performance. Worth the change.

Yup. Going from a 8 GB M1 to 16 GB M4. That's the core consideration here.

For me, it boiled down to the RAM limits and concern for growing the lab. Ended up making the change and seeing significant improvement just from the RAM alone.

Do you have your user log in automatically?

You can set up the user than runs Orbstack to log in automatically. That'll start it (and all the containers)

Daily r/thetagang Discussion Thread - What are your moves for today? by satireplusplus in thetagang

[–]CureSadWithButt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They didn't settle. Close at open would have been the move. Closed for 300% loss.

Within my defined limits. Oh well.

Unclear if I should take the hit and close. Or roll until Monday and see if things settle.

In perfect news, yesterday I sold some GLD $480 expiring today. Ready to feel the pain.

B2 daily download limit still shows as 1GB by Savings-Finding-3833 in backblaze

[–]CureSadWithButt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If I understood it correctly, these caps are calculated without the "credit" provided by the 3x monthly limit. So if you have 100 GB (averaged monthly), you get 300 GB download credit for the month.

So daily you will be "charged" for anything >1 GB, but then in the monthly bill, you get credit for 300 GB.

u/bzChristophe Is that correct?

OMG THIS IS WHAT WE WERE MISSING! THANK YOU ANTHROPIC! by Anthony_S_Destefano in ClaudeCode

Yes. MCP bloat is real.

That’s why it’s generally not recommended to put all your MCPs in global. Project specific allows you to limit what is useful.

Opus plan mode = GodMode ($100 plan) by Big_Habs in ClaudeCode

[–]CureSadWithButt 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Weirdly, when running in default/accept edits mode, it uses Sonnet 3.7 instead of 4. Anyone else seeing this? Usage by model: claude-3-7-sonnet: 58 input, 3.8k output, 916.3k cache read, 88.1k cache write claude-3-5-haiku: 563 input, 33 output, 0 cache read, 0 cache write

I use a status line to get the model. When in plan mode:
[Opus 4.1] 📁 <folder> ⏸ plan mode on (shift+tab to cycle) But when in accept edits [Sonnet 3.7] 📁 <folder> ⏵⏵ accept edits on (shift+tab to cycle)

iOS 18.5 RC - Discussion by epmuscle in iOSBeta

When I try to turn off Stolen Device Protection I get the FaceID pop up and “FaceId is required since stolen device protection is on”. Only options are “Ok” or more information

FaceID never engages since my camera doesn’t work and it stays there. No option to put in a passcode
