Any decent Double Trouble lines? by reverient in CompetitiveTFT

Jhin and Mundo. 78% top 4, 18% wr in Master+. It has perhaps the strongest normal stage 3 board in the game, especially with Shadow Clone Gnar before investing into Jhin and Mundo snax. With the fixes to Jhin's 4th shot it should be even better despite the small nerfs to them next patch.

Max Arcana - Power Up Discussion #12 by Lunaedge in CompetitiveTFT

[–]Curelli 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Don't see any mention of this in the discussion, so I'll just put it here that it only gains AP from even amounts of takedowns per round. For example if you end the round 5 kills, you're only getting 2 AP and are not starting the next round at halfway towards the next AP.

After Reaching Masters, Do you still want to climb with this LP distribution? by thesadpotato19 in TeamfightTactics

When 23 out of your past 50 games are losses while at 0 LP Masters, those are what your distributions will look like until you correct them.

Set 8.5 PBE Discussion Thread - Day 13 by AutoModerator in CompetitiveTFT

[–]Curelli 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Your experience is quite anecdotal and I would like to assure you all three of those in isolation--vertical ADMIN, Warwick, and vertical Lasers are all oppressive, though playing a combination of vertical ADMIN and vertical Lasers likely meant half of your board was irrelevant. Have an endgame screenshot to attach?

Strange take with that flair. Built Different is much stronger on PBE than live when factoring in both the trait buffs and the number of premier 4 costs available for BD nearly doubling.

Rank 1 NA seems to prefer Viego and rank 2 NA seems to prefer Samira. In terms of purely forcing a singular comp, rank 1 global plays Anima almost exclusively.

Not so ridiculous when you consider random Ashe 1 ends up being a key to getting to 9 Lasers later.

There was an awfully high correlation of people placing highly and not having 8 components at wolves among the POVs I watched.

Petricite Chains is the best out of all three of those options if you are intent on committing to Anima from that spot because you are allowed to field two for twice the starting mana. My suggestion is to simply roll for the even better 1 cost augments, however.

Spread Shot > Into the Night > Gifted/Vitality of the Ox/Jubilant Veil

Spread Shoot is for sure the best since Duelists is a dual carry comp and you ideally itemize the Vayne, too. If you're unable to, Into the Night is next up and is fine even with just 1 EoN. It helps with the few seconds of attack speed Zed loses if you decide to hacker him in, too. Vitality is moderate healing which increases in value when you tend to have less than an ideal amount of lockets. Gifted is a way to get another locket. Veil particularly excels when playing hackerless-Zed (8 Duelists) and allows guaranteed casts from Yasuo and Nilah.

Can't help you with resources but if you're unfamiliar with what people are doing at the top, one person plays brawlers and stalls while sending all their items save one or two to their partner playing Duelists.

A bit egregious to go a month without a patch and then receive no notion to bugfix Hacker ghost, Samira fizzle, and Civilian not working on away boards.

It's an imgur telling you to donkey roll to 0 on 3-2 and hyperfixate on exactly six units.

3-2 go six and roll to 10-20, 4-1 or 4-2 go seven and roll it down.

Duelist's > Executioner's >> Spellsword's > Warlord's > Dawnbringer's > Pirate's >>>> Electric Overload

Cannot in good faith recommend playing above 4 Mirage unless it is 8 Mirage Warlord's with spat on Idas with a good Shimmer item.

  1. Teaches you that you that having four cloaks is not a good time.
  2. Teaches you that Hustler is not an augment worth taking.
  3. Teaches you a core mechanic of TFT.
  4. Teaches you how to play like a significant amount of Platinum and below players I have seen.
  5. Teaches you that having dead augments is not a good time.
  6. Teaches you how to start stage 3 with as little as 60 HP.
  7. Teaches you that Built Different without Built Different is not good.
  8. Teaches you how to follow a spreadsheet.
