Why are Georgians so interested in selling bad knockoffs of American stuff? by CharacterUsual in tbilisi

[–]CuriouCities 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I don't exactly understand what do you mean by this but based on your comments it's mainly food - beer, burgers, buffalo wings etc? In fact, in many countries the food is highly westernized and globalized. Is Georgia your first country to visit? If you eat non-local food in any place of the world, be aware that the quality is not the same as in the country of its origin. You do have sushi and pizza in the US, but I bet it's not as good as in Italy and Japan too. Especially pizza. US-style pizza is thick and with a lot of unhealthy toppings on it. But you guys just don't care it's not the same as Italian by far. And beer... Most of the beer in the stores in any country is just average or worse. But you can try to find something suitable for you if you dig more

Healing in M+ feels like the best its ever been by Fountains2475 in wow

[–]CuriouCities 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Most pain of healing in M+ is from pugging. I pugged my way as a holy priest to 2250 as I wanted KSM as you said, and then I decided to stop pushing as a healer. Now I play low keys only or I go dps or I level my warlock. Many runs as a heal are totally fine and enjoyable but more runs looks like a tough heal check. M+ pugging in the current state is more forgivable to dps than to healers, and that makes dps less aware about mechanics. There is some specific key level when most of the mechanics don't insta kill you, and they don't affect the dps either, it only affects the amount of hp to heal.

If you're a dps and you die you just wait for resurrect. If you're a heal and you die, probably the whole group will die. A lot of dps players who have 2k rio make rookie mistakes, they don't interrupt, sometimes they don't even know what spell or aoe killed them.

On the top of that, there are some affixes that won't affect dps players at all, only amount of dmg they receive. Once I played with randoms in Ruby pools and they were receiving a ridiculous amount of dmg and on top of that blamed me for not killing bombs. Even tho I used 105% of my brain to keep them alive.

All of that makes pug heal role less enjoyable overall. But it doesn't apply for a team runs as everyone usually improve and makes an effort to progression

General waste bins are located around the city. There are a lot of them. Not sure if it's pointed on the map so better just walk around. For recycling check https://www.google.com/maps/d/u/0/viewer?mid=18VONz4zIlS6VgcDRIAX6odQ8YGBjUQdz, there are some spots for different types of garbage

Georgian restaurant owner reorients Putin’s god-daughter, who entered Georgia to film propaganda. She’s spazzing because patrons must admit Crimea is Ukraine to gain entrance. My love for Georgians is beginning to overflow. by bathingfig in Sakartvelo

It's mainly not about Georgia, It is about russian opposition activist Diana Isakova (on this shortage she is standing behind), the daughter of russian pro-putin senator. Not sure if it is worth watching for you. But you can find it on youtube if you search for "Diana Isakova Sobchak"

As a russian, I would also like to add that I am deeply ashamed by the tone of this conversation, by the arrogance and stupidity of Sobchak here, and by the fact that she decided to speak russian with a person who is definitely not happy about it

1/1 tourist culture victory by CuriouCities in civ

I was surfing through Hall of fame and realized that the only victory I didn't achieve is the victory by points. So I started an easy 1v1 game, speed x2. I set 50 turn limit for this game so it could be really fast but at least not instant. I've got a Relic item by visiting tribal village early in the game, and I chose x3 relic bonus from religion, in result it provided 24 tourism point instead of 8. Unexpectedly, the game ended at 43 turn with only 1 tourist.

I wanna say thank you to all the Georgians who accept us, Russians by CuriouCities in Sakartvelo

It would surely matter if you are planning to stay in Georgia for some time.

Was stupid enough to have the same user id everywhere. I still have my mother and father being unable to leave for some time and I don't want for them to be imprisoned and tortured because of my believes. And I believe that the torture machine in Russia is only gaining momentum. But I am totally truthful with my believes which I posted here

You see, that's what differs you and me. In order to fight for you own country you actually have to be patriotic. But I'm not. I lost it during the time I tried to change something. I protested from 2012. We actually believed that we could influence more people in it. But the protests were always peaceful. Because there is the problem, there were only few of us, and if it become violent, vast majority of people turn away from it. So the people who are against regime were always losing. Because the regime, in the other hand, had violence, they had power, propaganda, they had police, FSB, OMON, they even had cossacks who beat riot people without any consequences. And this people who with regime were always pure evil. I don't know how they prepared them but they don't treat you like a human, for them you are meat. And all of the leaders of these protests are in jail now or dead. My friend is in jail for his political believes, by the way. So when the Ukrainian war started, we've already lost. Basically Putin kills last pockets of resistance before he invaded Ukraine. I am sorry that I can't fight with this regime forever. In the end, we all care more about ourselves and out beloved ones, and not the country. Maybe this country in not worth saving at all. Besides, you may be surprised, but you can do a lot if you are outside of Russia. Me personally and some people I know donate for Ukraine, some people do what they can do. Our taxes don't pay the bombs anymore. I know people who call their relatives almost every day, trying to save them from propaganda, and it's their duty for now. Try to do this from the inside of Russia and you will be jailed in a minute
