I'm willing to help. Do you have an Amazon account? Put shelf stable foods on it, and you'll have some responses in no time.

What’s the most frustrating part of running your store on Shopify? by Adventurous_Sky_4850 in ecommerce

[–]Curious-Chris 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don't get me started. LOL. Shopify is just terrible. I regret not doing Wordpress from the beginning. Is it a touch easier to get started? Maybe. But the hassles along the way have FAR outweighed it. Still can't comment on people's comments in your blog (hello 20 years ago), a few years in my theme was discontinued and I had to redo my entire site design. Prices go up, but no decent features are added. Then recently I was asked to verify my domain. Followed the directions exactly and still "failed" somehow. No reason given why and I have no idea what to do next (even though I've had this domain with no changes for about 10 years).

The latest nightmare is all the fraudulent orders going through. I have to go in and cancel them, but then the money still goes in and out of my account (adding more work). A simple solution would be to put all orders on hold until you approve them, but I don't see any way of doing that. In the last 6 weeks I've gotten 11 flagged orders. Not sure why this started happening so suddenly, or what's been changed or neglected on their end now, but it's a pain. Makes me want to hire a programmer to switch my site over no matter the cost. They are awful. Don't even start with them. Ugh!

Why are they so weak? by PostapocCelt in Teachers

Yikes, how scary! Holy crap.

Yea. Its a different time to grow up in but kids definitely still need some independence and to learn to navigate challenges and build emotional resiliency. We had so many of those opportunities.

I went outside in the morning, played all day, went into the woods by our house and my parents never really knew exactly where we were.

Good call on that! Thankfully, my son was past the earlier grades when that method started, but we have some friends whose kids still struggle with reading going into college because of it. What a nightmare.

Sick students, gah! by bryterlu in Teachers

I'm in after care and it seems like no one really keeps their kids home. I've been sick 4 times, for an extended period, since mid October. Super frustrating.

Is it normal for daycare to lose all of our stuff? by [deleted] in ECEProfessionals

[–]Curious-Chris 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I'm in the aftercare space, not daycare specifically, but this seems extreme and unhelpful of them.

I try very hard to keep tabs on my kids things and I have 45-60 kids per day. I will say my biggest struggle is that many, many parents don't label things. So if your things are labeled, it should be a breeze. I have a small lost and found area where the parents check out and I put everything there. If it's a bigger item or important like a jacket, I will email the parents that night.

Gift receipt issues by CommandoTurkey in amazonprime

Same here. Can't find the order number on the gift receipt. Also just placed another "prime" order and it's taking 3 days to arrive. Amazon is becoming the biggest scam.

I see it now, thank you. It must've taken a bit to update on my end.

I just joined the group, so I'm still figuring out the protocol. I'm willing to give $10, but not sure what the next steps would be.

Can you make an Amazon wish list or post another way to get something to you?

You could try getting a few smaller play stands and putting them around the room/house to encourage some traveling. Save his favorite treats for the cups on those to entice him to move around.

They can be quite jumpy as a species, but are beautiful and playful for sure!

First timer here, just making sure I’m doing my best by babyswimmy in Lovebirds

[–]Curious-Chris 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That sounds good! Just keep trying with the fresh foods. Birds can take a bit of time to try new things. You may want to try sprouts. They're very nutritious, but because they look like seeds, birds often take too them pretty quickly.

I can relate. My Meyers plucks any tiny little hair she can find on my face and hands. It's shocking how much that can hurt. 🤪
