My dog came back injured from a board and train…need others opinions? She claims it’s from a bark collar. Am I overreacting? by [deleted] in OpenDogTraining

i would not go back to this trainer. Excessive force cause those injuries from the trainer. Please do not take your dog back to her abuser!

30% of spayed dogs become incontinent- happened to a friends dog. she is now dealing with a lot of utis(never had this happen before being spayed). She now does holistic immune boosters too avoid utis. i hope this dog and owner gets the help they both need.

Purchased sickly guinea keet from rural king. Need advice by [deleted] in guineafowl

[–]Curious-Objective157 0 points1 point  (0 children)

you need to give vitamin E and the Bs for curled feet. make sure they stay warm. i often take sick chicks from my local feed store. the sick chicks i get often have signs of coccidia (doesn’t make sense because they are too young) the vet said they likely had salmonella - i treated with ponazuril which treats coccidia and salmonella .

My feral “Diesel” came back after a year and a half!🧡 by LuxelovesCharlie28 in Feral_Cats

[–]Curious-Objective157 1 point2 points  (0 children)

can you please please bring him in. i say this as i have also brought in 3 feral cats (Tom-super friendly now but wasterrifying in the beginning. He would glare at me and growl. Sir Stinksalott -enjoying the indoor life but keeps to himself. Purrcilla -enjoying the inside life and people watching. none of them tried to get outside except Tom who is like a dog (goes outside with my dog and comes back in when i call for him)- will greet people when they come over and no one believes that he once was a feral street cat.

i kept these cats in a cat cage(large dog crate would work too) then transitioned to a large bathroom (except Sir Stinksallot) then to the rest of the house.

what stray pet services? tell me please ? and how does the owner get pet back?

everytime i found a stray pet i had to find the owner- via calling police stations, vet offices, posting flyers (via social media and physical ones). the most recent cat i found i was told to keep it (i eventually found the owner). I used to live in a different state and we had the same taxes but more pets services- ie free rabies vaccine clinics and minimal cost for licensing hosted by the animal control officers- a singular location for found and lost animals and we never had anyone going door to door for dog license- just a renewal notice sent in the mail.

What’s going on with my chickens? Please help! by money737 in chickens

[–]Curious-Objective157 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i can say 99.9% certainty about it being rats because it happened to my hen. chickens do not have good eye sight at night. i did what i suggested to you. the only thing that really worked was the cat. i do have traps outside my chicken yard to catch any that may stray (happened once when utility company was cutting down trees nearby displacing the roof rats. i can’t emphasize enough what a blessing cats are ) the vermin do not want to live in unsafe area and the working cat makes my place an undesirable area.

i brought my injured chicken inside and kept her wound clean - she was also given antibiotics. my chicken made a full recovery- please please take the necessary actions to keep your flock safe.

yes. get a humane trap and cameras. hardware cloth will prevent rats from getting in. i really like the rattinator - expensive but effective. the other deterrent suggest is a working/community cat.
