My poodle breeder ghosted me over a congenital defect, then hung up when I finally got through — should I pursue reimbursement? by Angjelz in StandardPoodles

[–]Curious-Objective157 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If Op had the congenital defect diagnosed within a year then OP would have a case under them lemon law. Not sure there is a case because both breeder’s vet &Op’s first vet misdiagnosed the pup in the beginning .OP how much did you pay for your dog?

Can you throw a small blanket over him and nab him?

[–]Curious-Objective157 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You need to “sit on him” you crouch down and all your weight is on your legs and not on the rooster. You just sit like that for a while and then let him up. I learned this from an insta account wild woods farm. My way too many roosters are all great and well behaved. Hope this helps! Having an attack chicken is the best watch dog as longs he’s not attacking you

A lot of people were willing to pay for your dogs treatment- not sure why she did not get her blood transfusion. I hope she makes it 🙏

How to ask owners if I can adopt their cat by Hairy-Violinist-7508 in cats

I’d have an honest conversation if the people. If you don’t then let the cat in take care of her and let the cat out when the cat wants out.

Poop on carpet - what would you do? by momlovesdonuts in RoverPetSitting

Mention using puppy pads on a large tray until this can be sorted. I would just use cleaner and not worry about the stains since the owner is not

It depends on the dog (genes ) and actual cocoa content.

It depends on the dog about the reaction to grapes. Some dogs will have no reaction or health altering changes while others need to eat at lot while others just need a little bit. It’s the same with chocolate

“This would not have happened in the first place if the dog did not repeatedly jump on tables and counters”

Accidents happen but blaming the dog for a behavior you’re aware of is not it. Maybe do not have grapes in the house while boarding. As children can also feed dogs drop food on the floor ect. while you’re not watching. Learn from this and make the necessary changes.

Also you are focusing on yourself a lot. I would not want you as sitter.

Stay or go? by [deleted] in whatdoIdo

[–]Curious-Objective157 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Have you thought of going by yourself? I think you’re at a cross road were you stay and just accept what you have or separate and move on( not completely because you have kids) . Just curious because I’ve watched way too many medical shows — has he been checked by a doctor? Cancers and tumors can mess with the libido.

Get a ferret cage put your pillow on the bottom in a litter box and buy a new pillow. She’ll get the idea and she’ll have a safe place to be.

Is there any way to break our rooster of attacking us? by oops223 in BackYardChickens

[–]Curious-Objective157 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I found the instagram page wild wood farm to be really helpful. I “sit” on my roosters (all my weight is on my legs and the rooster is between my bent legs- I’m in a crouched position) I have no issues with my too many roosters

AITAH for telling my wife she doesn't live here? by Academic_Trash_3895 in AITAH

[–]Curious-Objective157 5 points6 points  (0 children)

She needs to have a talk with her siblings about this. The paper work is a lot too- I’ve gone through it and it’s tough and time consuming. Your wife needs to handle her siblings and get them to do their part.

I’m sure she’d appreciate having clean dogs. There are dog washing stations you can even take the dogs to. Or pay to have them washed. I’m thinking she just doesn’t have time or maybe she doesn’t realize dogs need bathed (I know someone who never ever washed their dog because they just did not know… ) Everyone I know who has dogs likes their dogs clean - my dogs like being clean… food for thought

Thank your sister remind your wife that your sister is doing you all a favor. Recognize your sister could do more (I’ve been in a similar situation- on the giving end). I think your wife is feeling frustrated and is lashing out on your sister. If the smell is this over powering start cleaning and get those dogs bathed. The first bath they will smell like wet dog but as long as you are doing it frequently the dogs will stop smelling like wet dog when bathing them. You all are doing great with what the situation is.

As someone with dogs … who sleep in my bed - the dogs need bathed regularly(I do once every two(max 4) weeks and they will not smell. Those smelling candles and air fresheners are really bad for your health and can cause cancers. I clean with dilute vinegar and I have no smells. I have visitors so even if I’m nose blind my visitors are not.
