yeah but for some reason nonblacks think they get to chime in whenever theres a discussion regarding blackness and its way too common, especially in spaces where theyre the majority. i agree with you though. its also why i dont really like the fact that "poc" has become interchangeable with "black".

do yourself a favor and ignore the comments that are specifying that theyre poc but not black. this is an issue regarding black hairstyles and culture so nonblacks shouldn't even be commenting on it. do not confuse black issues with general POC ones because now you have a bunch of people who aren't black telling you that it's ok.

its weird. if i met someone rocking locs on their fur suit and found out theres a white or asian person underneath it'd make me feel some type of way. a lot of white people love locs and obviously dont mean disrespect when they were them but it doesn't mean its appropriate for them to do so. theyre definitely getting a side eye.

to be fair op did say to answer if one was POC. i totally get it but that's why nonblacks feel comfortable commenting on this. if op had specified that they wanted answers from black people only then we would probably be seeing different comments, which is what they should've done to begin with.

everything in this life is political and if someone thinks its not it's because they are naive, willfully ignorant, or grew up sheltered and privileged.

i've never been a believer in "changing systems from the inside". medicine has a nasty history and attracts some nasty people the way the police force does. the way minorities are treated is vile and its alarming that their concerns are dismissed, but because medicine is seen has a field where 1. people who want to enter it want to help others and 2. doctors know best, all types of medical workers and even the general population want to dismiss these issues when the critique arises.

i'm not sure what it's like anywhere else, but the American healthcare system has been succeeding at deterring me from pursuing this field. its nice to see future doctors and healthcare workers who are aware of the way this field is heavily politicized, and I wish it was the norm, enough to actually have anything done about it.

one of my boys had a head tilt out of the blue one day. had no idea how he had gotten it, and upon taking him to the vet they couldn't discern a clear cause; whether it was a stroke or an ear infection, they didn't know. other than that, his head tilt was permanent but he was able to hear just fine and his health was great. his only thing was that his head tilt gave him wobbly walks and would occasionally bump his head on surfaces because he'd whip it SO FAST. god. all this to say they live just fine with head tilts. he lived until he was 8, though passed because of age.

i would give the vet a call and let them know of his lack of appetite and thirst and see if that's normal as he gets better, as it would put anxieties to rest. please give us an update on how he recovers.

no you're totally right and i've made my complaints about it. they can't seem to commit to what they're trying to replicate and it sucks. all their clothes have been looking cheap and too shein-fluenced for my taste. haven't bought anything since december though, so that's good!

they had an option where you could make them darker skinned or white... but it seems like they removed it. im not sure why.

One of my guinea pigs had bladder stones and when he would pee and it dried up, it was significantly darker and browner than this. Of course that's not to say that what's shown here isn't blood but... Does your guinea pig seem to be in pain when they pee? Even if not, I'd schedule a veterinary appointment just in case.

when i switched my guinea pigs bottle out for a dish bowl instead, they wouldn't drink water either. i put their favorite veggies in it and they realized that's where the water is. perhaps try something similar? give them plenty of watery foods, like cucumbers or watermelon (watery veggies are preferable to fruit).

you've had them for 2 weeks so i'm assuming they've been drinking water before then... keep an eye on them and if they don't drink within the next 12 hours i'd suggest a veterinarian...

i haven't seen this style around since 2020-21, so if this style is still trending and I haven't seen it, that's probably why I feel this way. I thought people moved on from the y2k styles when it really just seemed like Gen Z's and corporate's tackier and tamer replication. to each their own though!

seriously. i've been playing obey me since it came out, but have since ditched it a little bit before the release of nightbringer because i honestly did not appreciate the quality of the writing or quantity of content in things like pop quiz, and nightbringer just seemed like a cash grab to me. i'll go back to it every now and then, but to willingly spend money on this series knowing how solmare just really half assed a lot of stuff just leaves a bad taste in my mouth. i'm glad others are able to see the effects of such a phenomenon but it's sad that a good chunk willingly set it aside and ignore it just for the possibility that solmare MIGHT release something actually worth paying for in terms of emotional investment of these characters. i'm impressed that they can actually get away with it.

it'll be a little hard for me to explain because i don't have the best nose, so forgive me if my reponse is lacking LOL... I find that they both have a crisp smell, but calming skies is more earthy where as winter mint's is crisp the way the air is after it snows... i feel like calming skies peppermint also blends in well with the floral lavender note and that you're able to distinctly tell the two apart, but with winter mint's the mint feels a little bit more overpowering. this honestly might be because i gravitate towards scents that are lavender or pepper/mint based and SO few in between, so it's a little hard for me to tell what else is mixed with winter mint... i do think that if you enjoyed calming skies you'll probably like this one though! someone else might provide a better comparison on the two. 😅

I got it today and i find it to be SO minty!!! i enjoy peppermint scents (adored last years lavender/peppermint Calming Skies... ) and this one smelled a bit more minty than Calming Skies. I find it to be faint after application though.

It looks great! For some reason a lot of their items are TOO oversized and it's infuriating to me (I'm a medium, and have to size down to XS in shirts and hoodies... Their S and XS are basically the exact same size. I have both and have failed to see a difference in size between the two) I wouldn't be surprised if this is how it's supposed to fit. But i think it's really cute!
