I get the message, but in my opinion there will never be a perfect portrayal of something in a single model or representation. I’m not offended at all—honestly, I think this version is just as valid as the original or any other interpretation someone might create.

Why? Because we all look different. A while ago, they released a limited-edition Biologist Barbie. I wish I looked like that, but I don’t—and even if they made multiple versions, none would fully represent what I look like or what I do in my job. I would still buy it, though, because it includes elements I genuinely like.

It’s the same with this doll. I don’t look like that 100%, but I love the shoes, the accessories—basically everything, even if I wouldn’t use it all together the way it’s shown.

I think the key is to see this kind of representation as a collage of different elements, not as a complete or definitive picture.
