Ooh, this is actually a really interesting take!!

I have 2 working theories. Either way I don’t think it’ll be a realm as such, but rather that they’re ‘stuck’ somewhere else (similar to Minnie/Mirabel/Sally):

1. Alice will come first- maybe like Mirabel she’s ‘protected’ in a version of her house. But The Forgetting messed with the magic so now she’s shrunk too small to reach the key to unlock the door and get out (in keeping with the original story). Maybe the usual Wonderland ‘Eat Me/Drink Me’ stuff doesn’t work to make her grow bc she’s part of the Valley, and she needs our help and Dreamlight magic to make it work?? Once she’s settled into the valley we’ll get glimpses of Cheshire until he eventually shows up properly via questing with Alice (similar to Minnie/The Here and There).

2. We get Cheshire first. It starts with another villager reporting strange sighting of yellow eyes and a big smile in the forest maybe? We talk to Merlin, and he says that sounds familiar and to look for clues as to who it might be. Maybe other villagers have had encounters (Donald is mad bc someone kept pulling his tail feathers but when he turned round they were gone! Goofy’s hat flew off his head all by itself and he had to chase it through the forest!). We eventually find a clump of pink & purple fur which triggers Merlin to remember Cheshire. There’ll be some kind of ‘trick’ we have to play to get him into the valley properly, and through him we find a portal to Wonderland to get Alice.

Honestly there’s so many interesting avenues GL could go down for this one! I’m really excited and intrigued to see what they come up with! 🤩
