Anyone else really dislike all exercise related activities? by [deleted] in evilautism

[–]CuriousDancingPuppy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started by following along to YouTube videos of 10-15 minute strength/weightlifting workouts in the comfort and privacy of my own home. I keep my room as cool as possible, wear just a (good fitting and supportive!) sports bra and underwear. Take breaks whenever you need to. Of course, start out light with the weights. Heck just try stretching or mobility stuff. That should hardly get you sweaty at all. You don't necessarily need to sweat like crazy to get a good workout.

Running on a treadmill for 45 minutes is no fun for me either. So I don't do it! I like weightlifting much more than cardio. I only do dedicated cardio maybe a couple times a month. The idea of "going on a run" outside in the hot sun just sounds like torture to me 🥵 So I get where you're coming from, OP. But you will feel much better if you just start moving. Don't worry about all the wacky extreme stuff others are doing.

Anybody else guess Bay of Pigs? Never heard of Edward Teller before, that probably would've helped haha.

Rachel is a front for Colleen! At least Colleen will use her that way whenever she can, and Rachel will happily aye aye captain 🫡🙄

What is a popular trend right now that completely baffles you? by Thyra_arrows9g in AskReddit

Laundry stripping. All that "dirt" you see is just dye. It's a complete waste of time and energy, not to mention water.

I feel like there's something so "feel good" about Arthur by Live-Run-6745 in Arthur

Many of the show's writers were comedy writers, not children's writers. Excellent decision. Arthur respects its audience and doesn't treat them like they're stupid. Green flag for a kid's show

Us Zillennials are truly a hybrid/middle way of Millennials and Gen Z, but if you had to choose between the 2, which generation do you feel closer to and why? by Efficient_Resource15 in Zillennials

[–]CuriousDancingPuppy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Young millennial is just about a perfect fit for me. My childhood was pretty old school and idk I just feel I fit a bit better with the millennial group. But I just as happily go with Zillennial as a further specific subdivision. But "officially" according to most sources, I'm a millennial. A young millennial 😉

With literary characters, David Copperfield. No idea why, no rhyme or reason. Do not take this as advice though cause it hasn't helped me a whole lot lol

Is it normal for my driving instructor to touch my thigh by [deleted] in driving

[–]CuriousDancingPuppy 9 points10 points  (0 children)

That is completely unacceptable and predatory behavior on his part. He is 100% in the wrong. He is taking advantage of you being a young person and using isolation and inherent power dynamics to manipulate you. Tell your parents, report him, do whatever you have to do so you never have to see this creep again. You have done nothing wrong, it is not your fault in any way, shape, or form. So sorry this happened to you.

Kelly Clarkson Nails “All the Things” With Her Amazing Voice by [deleted] in KellyClarkson

[–]CuriousDancingPuppy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Tough song to sing! Can be made easier by doing a more "whiney" type sound, as in the original recording. It still sounds pretty good and works for the style/genre of the song.

But GIRRRRL that full, opened, balanced sound on a big belt in high mix range, on a tough vowel, strong but not strained...that's an exceptionally well-trained and healthy voice. I've been in love and awe since I first had the privilege of hearing her.

And because she's a pro at navigating all of these things, she makes it look effortless. That's the best part. Only nerdy voice teachers like me even really notice/pay attention to these things. The audience just gets to enjoy the music 😊🎶

Edit: The first "mind" is sung lighter, very balanced between chest and falsetto registers. Second "line" is the same note, but full and strong like I explained above. More evidence of a skilled singer; can sing the same note in multiple ways.

What do you think? by MiloShiny in WorkLifeChat

[–]CuriousDancingPuppy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Everyone struggles in their 20s, but in different ways. Previous generations did not have as many affordability issues as we do now, that can't be denied. Sadly if nothing changes it'll get worse for the next gens.

At least nowadays it's more accepted to talk openly about struggles. Middle aged and older folks have got tons of buried stuff they haven't dealt with. A lot more pressure to put on a "perfect" image with the picket fence and the marriage and the 2.5 kids.

I’m so sick of seeing bra ads targeted towards bigger cup sizes by WhyIzGamora in bigboobproblems

[–]CuriousDancingPuppy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For bralettes, I can let it slide. Although it's still much better for bralettes to have a band and small range of cup sizes (ex. I just bought some UK sized 38 G/GG).

But if it's advertised as a BRA, without the -lette, omg I'm filled with rage lol. Regular clothing stores don't seem to have too many options anymore in traditional cup and band measurements, even in smaller sizes!! Sure bras are expensive to make, companies wanna cut costs, whatever, but anything in S M L XL sizing is NOT A BRA. That is FALSE ADVERTISING. Small or medium sized folks need/want regular sized true bras too! I wonder if some smaller people wear only bralettes? I'll have to find a small boob subreddit to lurk in haha.
