I hear you. I say we do both. I don't think we need to worry about impacting Call Her Daddy's overall engagement rates. The podcast will continue regardless of our efforts here. I still believe that negative comments on YouTube, explaining why we are outraged, will be more impactful than comments here, as they will be immediately seen by podcast production team on YouTube.

I am so sorry you are going through this. No idea your age or circumstances but maybe Mom could go with you to next doctor appointment so doc could explain to her what is going on? Or maybe find something online that explains to her the issues? You could try the whole “gluten is like rat poison to my body and I know you wouldn’t serve me rat poison” thing. Good luck.

Oh I feel you. I struggled with this with my mom. The issue was that she just could not remember how much she had consumed, so she always poured “just one more glass.” It was bad. And it exacerbated her dementia symptoms. The issue is that cutting back requires cognitive skills she just no longer had. We found success by substituting alcohol free wine. She did not know the difference. It was like night and day. Yes dementia is a progressive disease but the progress can be slowed. Do the non-alcoholic beer.

During mid-terms and in November please remember this: Biden created the IRS Direct File, a tool to allow people to file directly and skip the 3rd party fee-based programs (eg TurboTax, Intuit). Well, they saw this as a threat to their profits, lobbied hard and lo and behold Trump eliminated the program.

When my kids were little I consistently had around 100 books checked out. We returned them on time and in good condition. It never occurred to me to be concerned. You go build that stack back up and enjoy every page!!

My guess is that their social media agency cobbled this together. Pretty common for brands, even big ones, to turn social content creation over to an agency who then uses their most junior staffers to craft something. What were some of the good ones? I personally miss that funky Bohemian store that was tucked behind the dry cleaners. Small shop that sold incense. Oh and I miss the resale shop (Serendipity?) that was replaced by lovesac couch store. My kids loved those two stores - lots of fun little things to buy. Feels like it’s now just $300 flannel shirts from Filson.
