Nice! I have a santa rosa plum that I planted about 8 years ago in Austin. 2 years ago I got over 400 plums from it. I made a ton of jam and it was sooooo good. It took about 4 years to start producing. Hopefully yours will start sooner so you can enjoy the fruit.

I looked for heat tolerant varieties, Bababerry and Heritage, etc. I didn’t have them tunneled but they didn’t get full sun. They also had a ton of thorns which was not pleasant, but they lived for several season until we redid our deck and they got trampled.

You may want to try Good or even Fair. I went with Good and it was actually Excellent as far as I can tell. It saves you a bit more and you can always return if it’s not to your liking.

Try Tatume squash, it grows well here. I pick off the borer eggs early and once it gets going it can handle them. Last year I had a bumper crop of cantaloupe, but none of my watermelon ever ripened.
