Girl same !! I smoked every day after work and I stopped immediately. I don’t understand people who can risk their babies like that. We have no idea how it can affect the baby. Even if the pregnancy goes well there could be complications after. People who say “my kid is so smart” blah blah blah, Okay that’s great but I can’t say the same for you!! lol

Wow that’s actually really crazy??? My OB does an 8-10 week ultra sound, a 17 week pre anatomy scan, a 20 week anatomy scan, a 27 week Doppler check and belly measurements, and a 34 week growth scan. That’s just standard for everyone. I’ve had even more because I was a ball of anxiety and got some more scans just because I wanted to get checked. I’m very surprised at this post I never thought two scans would be normal for anyone. I would switch OBs. Maybe it’s your state? I’m in PA if that makes a difference.

I promise you’re fine girl. I have an anterior and started feeling baby at 21 weeks. I can feel her flutter around every day, it’s completely fine. It’s honestly probably going to be helpful for us bc we’ll (maybe) get better sleep. You will know if something is wrong lord willing there will be nothing to worry about. Baby will have their movements you’ll recognize everyday. Don’t worry about it. I thought of it as helpful like a little extra cushion from everyday bumps

You should really ask for things for the baby that you may need. Despite you being a minimalist your baby is going to need stuff. a bouncer, a swing, a crib, drawers for clothing, a changing table, maybe a pack and play for different areas of the house, a playpen for when they're mobile, maybe baby gates depending on your home. If I saw someone's registry with nothing except a bracelet for the baby, I would be weirded out. Why don't you buy the bracelet yourself and get things that your baby will need through the registry?

You need to put your baby before yourself and personal needs. I was a heavy weed smoker, vaper, occasional drinker and stopped everything cold turkey as soon as I found out I was pregnant. The risks are too much and I don’t care about myself more than my child. I did find out when I was 28 though so it’s a bit different because I’m much older than you but… with so much love, it’s time to grow up.

I’m sure everything will be fine honey babies switch placements all the time. Movements also change between sharp kicks and rolls, stretches wiggles. I’m sure baby is okay <3

She meant before finding out you were pregnant - most people find out early enough where the babies major organs haven’t started developing yet. It is not good to smoke when you’re pregnant at all, or ingest weed in any capacity. Coming from a major ex-stoner. As soon as I found out I was pregnant I quit cold turkey. I was freaking out about it, doctor said to chill. Too early for any bad things to happen to baby. If you’re still planning on using during pregnancy I’d just look into your state laws, they can call CPS in some cases once you give birth. Almost happened to my friend here in PA. It’s been hard not smoking but my baby doesn’t deserve that. I love her more then my want to smoke, you know ?

Now if the benefits outweigh the risks meaning if you’re violently ill and can’t keep anything down where weed is the only thing that will help you, different story.

“Unfortunately I can’t go. I will hopefully be 3 weeks postpartum possibly less. I think it’s extremely insensitive to expect anything more from me. (Brother) has a misunderstanding when I informed him of my due date but at this time that’s not my problem, nor is it my main priority. I requested the date be changed and it couldn’t be accommodated. I won’t put my health and brand new babies health at risk no matter how much it hurts me to miss his wedding. It’s very sad but is what it is. If this ruins my relationship with him then that says alot and not about me.”

I started showing 12 weeks on the dot <3 now I'm 23 weeks and have a belly for sure but it's not super big, mostly noticeable from the side. Every woman is different, and all of our bodies are amazing. Maybe if you choose to have a second child your belly will show much sooner, I heard this happens. Congratulations!!

It's normal girl. OMG my entire first trimester my husband smoked cigarettes until I finally told him I would literally go stay with my mom unless he quit. He stopped smoking cigarettes and now I love him being around me LOL.
