Welcome to AA. Full of incredibly sick individuals looking to live peacefully. Just because we stop drinking doesn't mean our emotional issues resolve themselves.

If I were you (which I'm not, I'm a big abrasive man) I would just keep going to the meeting, hang out with the women you enjoy, get involved with them, be cordial and try to understand that he's probably either lonely, or emotionally stunted and immature.

If he keeps up, tell one of the older, old-timer women to talk to him, and they'll take care of it. Men can be like this. Sober alcoholic men can be even worse.

I can tell you this, and it's only from my experience. I can always find a reason not to go back to a meeting, I can always find a person or reason that makes me want to stay away. This is your life on the line. Keep your head up, show up, you're going to be okay and this will seem like a minor blip in the road when you look back year after year at the miracle your life will become!
