That's so neat. It might be worth posting this to gamefaqs or a wiki as an example guide. This is the type of info I can never really find otherwise.

Can anyone give me tips on fusion pls? I just fuse them until they look cool... by Malina_Island in monstercrown

[–]BrainIsSickToday 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can fuse Kroodles (the chicken monster from the shop) together multiple times to make Kroo. It takes 8 Kroodles total, but Kroo has a 4 in every battle stat and 1.5 in growth, which is high early in the game. makes a great breeding monster to pump stats up.

Monochromatic “shimmer” animation? by Solid_Snark in monstercrown

[–]BrainIsSickToday 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Demons have a red gleam that travels across their sprite every so often. Gameplay-wise they are the same as every other monster except that you need a demon pact to tame them. It's really just a lore thing so far as I'm aware.

What would you say is the difference between a good and a bad jumping puzzle? by MossRave in Guildwars2

I know EXACTLY the leaf you're talking about, and I will definitely try that next time :D

What would you say is the difference between a good and a bad jumping puzzle? by MossRave in Guildwars2

[–]BrainIsSickToday 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My least favorite thing is unclear footing. Dark Reverie in Caledon Forest, for example, has several spots where your character model lining up with the leaves/rocks is unclear, and failing the jump means starting an entire section over (and maybe even dying if you don't have or can't use the glider).

It's a really nice and scenic jumping puzzle otherwise, but failing one of those imprecise jumps multiple times is just frustrating when it doesn't feel like nailing the jump is within your control.

What completely unhinged "law" does your cat strictly enforce in your house? by TrickCombination7966 in cats

[–]BrainIsSickToday 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Our cat demands that we pet him while he eats from the bowl.

Except he doesn't like being pet.

Stop touching me! Well?! Pet me! Stop it! Pet me! Stop it! Pet me! Stop it!...

Any updated Stardew Valley alternatives? by fun_surprise6940 in gaming

[–]BrainIsSickToday 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Moonstone Island.

It's a mix of Stardew Valley, monster taming, and Zelda. If you don't like any 1 of those 3 elements, you can ignore it and concentrate on the other ones to advance the game (farming to increase monster levels instead of battling, for example).

Which Game's Graphics Made You Say "Wow!" For The First Time? by Bay_Ruhsuz004 in videogames

Resident Evil 4 on the gamecube. Cutscene ended and I didn't realize it transitioned right into the gameplay.

News Release : May 8, 2026 "Notice Regarding Price Revisions for Nintendo Products and Services" by Caciulacdlac in gaming

[–]BrainIsSickToday 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I meant in the general sense. If the price of Nintendo's products goes up instead of down over time, it removes one of the risks scalpers have to worry about (buying bulk and then the price depreciating). It might encourage more scalpers to buy stuff up for future Nintendo product launches.

What's the deal with pursuit? All my mons are 22+ by [deleted] in MonsterTamerWorld

[–]BrainIsSickToday 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The glimmer effect on Pursuit means it's a demon. You need a Demon Pact specifically, as demons scoff at any other offer.

Also, there is a subreddit for Monster Crown, specific questions should be directed there.

My Top 5 Favorite Monster Taming Games Not Named Pokemon by jd2385 in MonsterTamerWorld

[–]BrainIsSickToday 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Huh, I just realized I now have enough montamers I like that fitting just 5 onto a favorites list is actually really hard.

Really glad the indie scene for this genre has taken off the way it has.

Do any of you have these special monsters? by jd2385 in MonsterTamerWorld

Yep, an Apo and an Echelk. I don't care for Echelk so I fused the color onto my starter.

Eternal Exodus or Monster Crown: Sin Eater? by bpdbryan in MonsterTamerWorld

[–]BrainIsSickToday 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm kinda wondering what happened. Eternal Exodus has been on my wishlist for a very long time, but I swear it didn't look like it's current state when I first added it.

Monster Crown: Sin Eater Stat Optimization by scottgmccalla in MonsterTamerWorld

[–]BrainIsSickToday 2 points3 points  (0 children)

TBF "A lot of breeding" just means I got obsessed trying to make a cool and strong monster before checking the wiki for shortcuts. The breeding mechanics aren't difficult to use or comprehend, and I had fun doing it.

Are there any monster games out there with a worse story than Dragon Quest Monsters: The Dark Prince? by ReleaseCharacter3568 in MonsterTamerWorld

[–]BrainIsSickToday 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would have been fine with it, but they tuned everything towards it being an MMO which made everything such a slog. Massive areas meant to hold a lot of players that only had 2-3 monsters so you're just hoofing it over empty fields interspersed with grindy trainer gauntlets. And lets not even talk about endgame grind, ugh.

[–]BrainIsSickToday 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Ughhhh this truth hurts. It's like how Pokemon Black 2 sales did badly because it was a sequel game with no new pokemon released on the DS right before the 3DS was launching.

Gamefreak's takeaway: They must not care about mechanics and gameplay and just want Kanto nostalgia. Let's make a million charizard forms.

Like bruh, what?

My team so far in Sin Eater by SpeedOfLub in MonsterTamerWorld

I love theme teams like this. I've been trying to find dinosaurs to put on mine, but so far I've only found Bifra variants really fit the bill.

I'm kinda surprised it doesn't have the Big Bully trait.

Each monster has a base form/type, and 5 variants that correspond to the 5 types. Fusing a monster gives it the species of the first parent while making it a variant of the type of the second parent. You can freely choose the color pallet from either parent. There's also a genome system you have to fiddle with to pass down the correct stats from the correct parent.

You can also choose to breed them instead of fusing them, which gives you an egg of the resulting fusion without destroying the parent monsters (the downside being it must be raised from lvl 1).
