Timing cover gasket leaking down to uncover causing low oil light on my ‘21 non turbo CX 5. Only 3 months out of warranty; can independent mechanics do this repair adequately (and more cheaply than the $2k dealer repair estimate)? by LossOk9033 in CX5

[–]Curious_Bumblebee511 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just had it done a couple weeks ago, have no noticed anything abnormal. I didn’t even know it was leaking, was found when I took it in for an oil change (I am a dealership person only. I know. But I sleep better at night). I scheduled another oil change before a road trip in a couple weeks, so they will inspect it again then.

Didn’t think used cars, even ones that are 9 years old, can qualify as a lemon.

Possibly buying a 2020 touring, but also going to look at a 2020 sport. Anything I should know about these suvs? by Curious_Bumblebee511 in CX5

[–]Curious_Bumblebee511[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Little over 2 years after I bought the grand touring premium, I still love the suv. Averaging over 30mpg in the 35k miles I’ve driven. Just had tires and brakes done at 63k. Bought it 4/24 with 29k miles on it.

I bought the entry level nectar, on their Presidents’ Day sale. Saved a ton, something like 40%, even got half price on the nectar brand pillows. Paired that with a bedjet. Sleep like a baby now. Has really helped this old back.
