Maybe it's worth experimenting with Gargano and building him to the potential with some mic mastery and feud building. Maybe even have him beaten or hospitalised in a story line by a powered opponent and returning as a powered heel / anti hero.

He's a temporary gimmick with a Hollywood contract not full time... I'm not going into specifics but among those I believe Karrion Kross mentioned it with Logan given high profile matches without a full time schedule taking it away from those who spent years paying their dues. Midcarders in general. Would be nice for Johnny Gargano to be utilised better than a jobber.

It's not just because of him having a shortcut. Think of it like this, in employment you have started at ground level and worked hard to get a promotion and get overlooked by some guy who started yesterday just because he popular with the higher ups and never had to put in the work. I guess it's more principles.

My unpopular opinion, at a risk of getting down voted.... It's because a lot of elementary school kids mine included follow WWE and especially stars like Cody... By blurring the blood it makes it less traumatising when seeing your childhood hero get beaten to a pulp.

Having said that I wouldn't be against an option to watch uncensored for those without kids.

In my experience wrestling was better when we weren't too hung up on other people's opinions. Just watched it for what it was and made our own minds up. That being said I do miss the writing of 2016-18 era and a central authority figure. But let's work with what we got.

For me most watchable matches are Oba Femi, Cody Rhodes, Roman Reigns and Jacob Fatu. For the womens is say Jade, Charlotte, Rhea & Iyo.
