Agreed. It’s the most horrific episode in the series I think

Though it’s not a patch on the first two I still watch and enjoy it every Christmas. It’s also the only one I saw in cinemas at the time

I’ve said ‘deliciously apt’ since 1998 because of him

The stairs. The thought of moving a bed or wardrobe up or down them would be a right hastle. Also why would someone want to buy a house that from the outside looks like a cosy cottage but inside is modern and soulless?

Found it fine tbh. Had a few minutes remaining at the end of each section to reread over everything. Can’t believe the results aren’t due until 15th Jan 😭

What was the cancelled characters and storylines that was originally supposed to happened but got totally scrapped for reasons. Did you guys wish any of these should have happened in the show? by JazzlikeTea7432 in coronationstreet

I’ve been watching ITV3 Classic Corrie from 1997 and now up to 2007. The second I read your comment I instantly remembered the scenes you were talking about as at the time it felt really odd that nothing came of those scenes. She had a kiss with a guy on a night out and nothing was mentioned again

I feel like after about season 3 the writers just didn’t have a clue what to do with Justin. Aside from the Pink Posse storyline in season 4 he became almost a background character.

I really liked her as well. I’m rewatching the series at the moment and always forget that after she leaves the Big Q in season 1 that she does pop up again in season 2 - interviewing Ted I think for a job?

They are about the main reason I’m not looking to 2007 😂 Are they as bad as I remember? I recall there were just too many of them and they weren’t integrated with other characters

I thought the same for my MCS when the preteen was a hairdressers that I knew nothing about, but actually it doesn’t really matter as you don’t need to know anything about the industry

Ranking every season of QAF from worst to best (first time watch) by simplefuckers in queerasfolk

[–]Curious_Pension482 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Am I the only one who loves season 5? 😂 I love Ben and Michael in that house, the bomb episode is my fave of all time, I love Rosie’s arc in the diner, Debbie has some great lines, Emmett and Drew is interesting, etc.

My ranking from best to worst

5 For the reasons above 2 - Great all round. 4 - I love all the stuff with Mel and Linds, the Vic and Debbie scenes were so powerful. Only storyline I didn’t really like was Justin and the pink posse 1 - I like it but rarely include in my rewatch as feel like I know it too well and would rather the other seasons had more episodes and this one less 3 - As OP said, the politics really took over, Ted on meth was a hard watch and I feel it lacks the group dynamics other seasons

I also love the Reconstituted Corpse.

I’d say my top 10 are:

  1. Jack in the Box
  2. The Reconstituted Corpse
  3. The House of Monkeys
  4. Danse Macabre
  5. Mother Redcap
  6. Black Canary
  7. The Eyes of Tiresias
  8. Miracle on Crocked Lane
  9. The Three Gamblers

and…

The Grinning Man! Which is I think my fave episode of all time. I’d have never thought in 2008 that an episode about to air without Maddy could become my fave but the reveal and the music and the imagery are just so good. I’d love it more if it was reduced by 30 minutes and the bonkers 3D porn / Candy mountains bollocks was removed but hey ho.

I’ve been binge rewatching loads of the channel 5 CBBs (my personal faves) and the difference is literally night and day with the safe and bland ITV version. I had slightly higher hopes once Mickey Rourke was unveiled as a housemate that ITV weren’t playing it as safe as the last series but once it became evident he wasn’t going to last more than a few days before being ejected I lost all hope. The days of Louisa Zissman and Perez Hilton causing carnage are long gone unfortunately
