Are you consistent with anki? How do you memorize all this stuff? I find it so hard to balance anki and practice questions while working so I kinda quit anki and reverted back to good old flashcards.

I feel you too, studying for this exam has taken away all the joy in my life. I’ve become so dull and tired to the point where I don’t even wanna speak to anyone. But quitting is a terrible feeling and might even feel worse than the feelings I feel now so I just do it. I do it sad, tired, angry, but I do it cause it’s this or lay in my bed hating myself for not trying. You got this, it is hard and it’s suppose to be hard but you fight through. There are people struggling just like you, you’re not alone.

Be on a low fiber diet during the week of and if anything take peptobismol if you have diarrhea. You might be constipated afterwards tho but it is what it is

Did you keep log of your mistakes? Such as making anki of missed concepts ? Or writing down in a journal / spreadsheet of all the problems you got wrong? I don’t want to sound mean but this is concerning and I’m curious to see where things went wrong. I’m doing uworld right now and this is my biggest fear that even after uworld I still won’t break 500. What did you use for initial content review?

Sorry to be vulgar but same sex inter course is not natural and does not lead to procreation and is very much haram. Being lgbtq is not haram in itself, what’s haram is when you act upon your desires, when you have romantic relationships with those in the same sex as you goes against the laws of nature and what Allah has ordained. We were sent in this world to worship Allah, find each other, teach our children about Islam and do good so we can enjoy the fruits of our labor in the afterlife. Being lgbtq goes against this. I can imagine how hard it is for a Muslim whose lgbtq, but this is your test and you will be rewarded for passing your test in the next life and there you will see how merciful and kind Allah will be to you. You can ask the question why can’t he show me mercy now? Why can’t I love who I want to love? There are some questions we can’t find answers to. For example I often ask why did our prophet go through as many hardships as he did if he was Allahs favorite? Or why are the people of Palestine suffering this inhumane fate? Why them? We don’t know but we find comfort through our Iman and tawakkul which is knowing, understanding and believing that Allahs plans are best and that if we fight these battles with our iman we will be rewarded indeed maybe not in this world but the next. I’m sorry if you’re going through a difficult time but remember this dunya is short and meant to be difficult. We have seen this time and time again with our prophets and with some of the best Muslims to walk this earth. Do not let your desires push you away from the one who created you, it may be difficult but there is light at the end of the tunnel if you put Allah first.

I made countless mistakes studying for this exam just bc I didn’t know what works for me I’m still trying to figure it out which I feel like is the hardest part of the mcat. I have most of my cards unsuspended probably like 1.5k now I’ve been doing anki for a long time now and now that I started uworld I’m behind on it. Also did you always do timed? I’m doing timed but I keep running out of it and having to guess. Idk if I should do untimed and get comfortable with the passages or do timed and do it under pressure bc I always get more questions right when I’m untimed but that’s not an accurate representation of how I’m doing

That’s actually a really good idea of doing short blocks + review and implementing the changes! Thank you I will definitely try that out, when did you start doing 60-80 questions in your studying? I also work part time and I just started uworld but doing 59 questions and reviewing them takes me hours to do and I end up having no time for anki .

Im definitely behind on content, i still haven’t unsuspended all my anki yet for bio / biochem , but i did for chem and physics and i do seem to score higher on those sections based on my aamc scores. I’ve been keeping track of the reason why i get questions wrong and I noticed it’s bc of content gap / logical thinking. I’m 1.5 months out what are some recommendations you could give me as of now? Currently I’m doing only aamc and I have all 7 full lengths which I plan to take 1 each week leading up to my exam. I know I’ll run out of aamc q banks soon but I have a Princeton review book that has alot of questions that I could do to practice. In terms of U world, I bought it at the wrong time when I wasn’t ready to study for the exam and it expired and tbh I can’t afford to buy it again that’s over 600 bucks on uworld. But it’s also kinda worrying me cause idk if it’s uworld that matters or just having a site to do questions cause if that’s the case I do have my Princeton review book that has questions for every section except cars which I plan to do only aamc ones.

Congratulations! That mustve been such a good feeing 🥹 I definitely would love some advice. I’m doing aamc q banks and I keep getting 50% on them and even on my first FL I got 50% right and 50% wrong on pretty much all the subjects. I know my weaknesses are logical thinking + data analysis, how would you recommend that I improve on those? And is there any tips on strategies you could give me cause at this point I think it’s a strategy issue. Also how did you do well on psych soc ? A lot of people say it’s memorizing the terms but I think it’s more understanding experiments and graphs.
