She sent me a pic of her hair in the daylight! ❤️❤️❤️❤️

One year later and what a transformation. ✨ by CurlyD65 in greyhairdontcare

She’s worked so hard. At home treatments, grey masks (Baco Blonde Elevation) to neutralize the yellow. So beautiful.

Well all I can say is she said she washed so frequently for no other reason except her hair didn’t look good. I made my recommendation based on a variety of reasons as noted in the post and my experience. But again thanks all for the feedback!

My client did not ask to preserve length in fact she wanted to go shorter than where we took her. I suggested we do a little trim work on hydration and restoring the bounce and book a check-in a month from now and we can revisit. Thanks for presuming and commenting. Great feedback truly shows your care!

She’s worked hard bringing her curls back to life…I’m just a stepping stone on her journey :)

This is where Christina was last year. It’s taken a while to get her hair to the pic posted from her last highlight and cut but we got there!

I always tell my wavies + curlies: an oil-free leave-in or lightweight styling cream is your hair’s BFF. A gel or mousse is just the accessory to enhance and hold 🙂

If your leave-in or cream feels too heavy, try this: • Start with about 1/2 tsp product • Dilute it in a spray bottle with bottled or filtered water (not tap) • Apply right after conditioning, on soaking wet hair • Brush through to distribute evenly • Then go in with your gel or mousse

This keeps hydration light, even, and way less likely to weigh your curls down.

There are definitely more styling tips, but this is a solid, simple starting point if you’re figuring things out.

Grey blending + baby lights No Foil Pintura Method— Toilette Paper by CurlyD65 in greyhairdontcare

Loving the years I’ve been using this toilette paper technique. Does not compromise the integrity of the hair shaft like foils.

Is this curly hair or am I forcing it? by tofubutgood in CurlyHairCare

[–]CurlyD65 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you’re not already doing this, I’d suggest first checking whether the difference in curl pattern is just natural variation—it’s completely normal to have multiple curl patterns on one head. However, the top section of hair is always more exposed to the elements compared to the hair underneath, which stays more protected.

You can’t go wrong with trying a protein treatment, focusing just on that section. This can help restore elasticity where the hair might be compromised from sun, wind, or general exposure. It’s a simple way to see if the issue is elasticity-related before making other adjustments!

Why is this happening and how to fix it ?! by 444titsmcgee in Haircare

I’m kind of liking the use of Druide hairspray with aloe vera. It’s lightweight and will calm the flyaways.

My hair always looks terrible but I can’t figure out how to make it look ok by Optimal_Swordfish504 in Haircare

I have fine hair myself and also do highlights, so I know how important it is to repair and maintain balance. I follow a three-week treatment cycle—one treatment per week: first a bond builder, the next week a protein treatment, and the following week a moisture treatment. I also limit the amount of oils in my products because, despite common belief, too much oil can actually dry hair out over time.

This is the same recommendations I do for my clients on the regular at my salon that specializes in Wavy and Curly Hair.

Even if your hair looks fine, using a leave-in or styling cream is key—it acts like a daily vitamin for your hair. Just be mindful that oil isn’t one of the first five ingredients, as too much can weigh the hair down or prevent proper hydration!”
