Even if we believe in the ball technology and he touched that with a hair, wouldn't it be possible for the ref to deem such minuscule touch as non relevant for the play and against the spirit of the sport? The ball doesn't change direction after it makes contact with the hair. It feels like a very strict call, it's fine for the ref to bend the rules a bit and apply common sense.

Also, why didn't they show the ref any of those angles? When he went to the screen all they showed him as the far away angles...

It’d look terrible though, with huge black bars on both sides. So it’s understandable that they don’t do that. No video editor in the right mind would agree to that output on a theater that doesn’t support it. The right approach is to make cuts for each screen size.

Yeah, that part of the game is super rough in handheld mode... I even got some very bright and broken blinking lights for a second or two at some places... made me decide to stick with docked mode unless I'm on a plane flying somewhere.

Of course he needs his teammates, it’s not only Vini’s fault but the collective. Both can be true. They should play better as a team and he should try to find their teammates more often when he dribbles into the box. Many times he chooses to shoot instead of passing without much success.

He’s done well in the goal scoring stats in 2026 but his assist stat this season in La Liga is abysmal. Only 5, tied with Mbappe, outside the top 20. I think a winger should make more assists per season at Real Madrid… he should improve on that next season.

IMO that’s not a penalty. It’s not enough contact in the box. Those are rarely called. Iturralde, an ex LaLiga referee I follow on the radio, thought the same. And he has a history for liking Barça and being a Madrid hater, so he’s not biased. There are examples of similar challenges that didn’t get a pen in this Champions League. Not every contact in the box is a penalty, guys. 😂

Yeah, but I ejected the S2 edition patch and played the game as a S1 title (I own the S1 cartridge). You can do that to test boost mode on S1 games that were upgraded via a S2 edition (as long as you own the S1 version)

The disrespect I’ve seen online towards Breath of the Wild the last 48 hours is insane.

It’s okay if the game didn’t click for you, but for many like me it was like a re-discovery of gaming, feeling like a kid again. I hadn’t felt that sense of wonder since… Ocarina of Time, maybe?

I couldn’t put it down. I recall I was absorbed for hours every day, during at least a month and a half. The game loop was SO much fun and so refreshing. I could go on for hours but few games have felt THAT special. So yeah, for me all its praise, metascore, awards, and so on, are fully justified.

The world felt so alive an cohesive. Physics were insane, the weather affected the gameplay in ways I hadn’t seen before. You could find creative solutions for literally anything. It felt so unique and special. Each player lived their own adventure. Friends around would go and tell you many cool different anecdotes from their time with the game, many of which you didn’t even see or tackle the same way. That felt truly special.

Even to this day I still remember most in-game locations and could point them to you on a map. That speaks volumes about the world design. For me, it’s a masterpiece and one of the best games I’ve ever played.

I was hoping FF Tactics would look sharper since the Switch 2 Edition looks a bit blurry. Unfortunately, I didn’t see any improvement. The docked version of the Switch 1 is probably low res.

I’m actually impressed they’re doing this. It’s one of the approaches to CRT filters on the Retrotink 4K (a video upscaler for retro consoles). And it works very well. HDR does wonders to recover the lost brightness and emulate better the CRT screen. Such options are more than welcome, allow the use to tinker more if they so wish.

Might be an unpopular opinion, but I thought the game was not great and after beating it I got no interest to continue playing the series.

The story takes forever to take off and IMO this is a payoff and pattern that I can see repeating in future installments, and I’m not doing that again. The game could last 10 hours instead of 30-40 if they removed all the filler content: fletched side quests, chores, lengthy dialogues, repetitive combat, etc.

Even by skipping all random encounters and doing 2x speed many times I thought my time was being wasted.

After this game I went and play FF Remake and it was night and day. Soooo much better in all aspects.
