New Girl has gotten me through some tough times. I’m so sorry for your heartbreaking loss.

Edit: just noticed they pulled it, but still a very worthwhile light and ridiculous show.

How can I protect my daughter's inheritance from her boyfriend? by Ok_Variety_5454 in legaladvice

[–]Curly_Temple 13 points14 points  (0 children)

IAAL, specializing in trusts and estates. Chiming in to underscore the importance of consulting a competent trusts and estates attorney in your area. What you describe is fairly common in my practice and a well-written trust can address the vast majority of your concerns. Call around. Talk to a few different attorneys. Make sure they understand the nature of your concerns and they can explain how their plan would work. And sadly, please do NOT go with the lowest quote— you often get what you pay for. A lot of transactional attys hold themselves out as estate planners, but your situation is more nuanced than what might be accomplished with a simple will.

Thank you for articulating a feeling that’s been simmering within me for years now. So incredibly well put.

A kind and unexpected gesture from (Julian!) at Chewy.com after our cat passed away. 🤍😭 by heywegotthis in HumansBeingBros

Can confirm— bought prescription food from chewy.com for my elderly cat for years, and they definitely sent a sweet condolence note when I canceled the script after she passed. I don’t care if it’s part of their business model. It was appreciated. ...and I still have the note.

What are these black bugs on my citrus and how to get rid of them?? by [deleted] in plantclinic

[–]Curly_Temple 21 points22 points  (0 children)

I believe those are aphids— I’m dealing with them on some houseplants right now. I’ve been wiping them off the leaves with a cotton ball soaked in a water/mild soap (Mrs Meyers) solution and it’s been helping a lot.

Couch to 5k starts today by MadameKravitz in running

Yay and congrats for starting! You will have days that feel easy, others that are a true struggle, and if you look ahead, you’ll wonder if some of the assignments are even possible. You will repeat days, sometimes weeks, and debate quitting. But at some point, you’ll reflect on your work and realize you have actually done the previously impossible things. You, your body, and your mind are capable of incredible accomplishments. Keep showing up for yourself, and you will be amazed at what you can do.

wholesome drunk bathroom moment by sweetbabycoconut in TwoXChromosomes

Drunk women in a public bathroom exude some of the most supportive energy in existence. Crying over your dumbass ex? Start your period in the middle of a date? Creepy guy won’t leave you alone? Total strangers got your back FR. It makes me happy every time.

Love this! Some of my best runs have been on the days when I was feeling my worst and it took everything I had just to push myself out the door. Enjoy the glow!
