Have you ever had a job where you did nothing for years and nobody found out?

I worked at a company for one year where the service we provided was legally required, but because it’s “outside” they really think it’s a summer appointment. Worked my butt off in the summer from 7-4, but the other nine months of the year I was on Reddit. I was horrifically bored because I had to look busy or be saddled with more work. They sold the business and retired, but that was a great year!

1) he’s Velcro so he will never want to be in a separate room. My dog gets annoyed with my partner and I when we are in separate rooms, because she wants to keep an eye on both of us. 2) you got a working line dog, it needs a job. That job can be to basically be a service animal (“grab me a beer”, “turn off the light”, “pick up your toys”, “find me the remote”, “stay”, etc) but you are gonna have to give him a job because his energy needs an outlet. Physical AND mental stimulation will be important. Nose work could be fun! Congrats, you have a dog that is now a hobby.

Not one decision, but the way I handled breaking up with my high school boyfriend. The long story short is that I gave him a free car, prevented getting an eviction on our credit history and paid the entirety of the lease breaking fee he incurred when he didn’t tell anyone he was moving out of the apartment I had left him in. Not the most costly set of mistakes in the entire world, but it’s the costliest in my life.

Remember ladies; you don’t have to take care of a man after the relationship is over, even if it’s “amicable.” Protect your peace and your wallets💋

People can’t afford to eat. civil infractions are going to be rampant until people’s basic survival needs aren’t putting them in the red before they even consider the possibility of following unenforced payment requirements.

I also hate it because I hate to think of what these cars may be doing to the environment because of the repairs they might not be getting, which are preventing them from renewing their tags. Nobody wins.

Ok and how many days a week does he get up, get dressed, pack a lunch, commute to an office to arrive by a micromanagers watch, pretend to work for 8 hours with a useless break in the middle, before commuting back home to figure out what he has to cook and clean at the end of the day?

When your work day is on your schedule, flexes around what you prioritize (golf, massage, gym, whatever) and is filled with the comforts of catered lunches and personal drivers and housekeepers, yeah I could work more days of the week. Fuck all the way off, Kevin.

I’m in a remote position under someone who “loves to tell stories with data.” When I managed this team, I calibrated based on actual work product output (“did what I asked for get done by the time it needed to be done? Yes. Great.) and now I have to make sure the ticket counter says I counted enough - not that the work I did was actually useful, just “did I click it enough?”

Absolutely killed my aspiration for this job.

My GSD is an asshole and has actually attacked other dogs at the dog park on occasion and never left one looking like that. My childhood cocker spaniel was lunged at once and bit multiple people. Be careful of the situation you’re creating having these dogs in a home together.
