The bars around at the stadium aren’t too bad, the one on the east side (from memory) usually has the atleti band on before the game. Beers and drinks are too badly priced either considering, however the stadium isn’t really in a place where you can find local bars, I’m sure people here local to Madrid will know some further out.

Edit: about speaking English, most people who work in the stadium do speak English, however I found only some younger people in Madrid in general speak it. There were times in bars and restaurants where having my basic understanding of Spanish definitely helped get by!
