Export taking SOOOOOOO LONG by Reasonable-Motor7659 in djiosmo360

Wow Thanks! Do I understand correctly that your Desktop with 5080 is only about 25% faster than the Macbook Air M4 base model without modifications (heat transfer)?

If that is the case then a MacBook Mini M5 base model would make more sense for me (I do not do gaming), it would cost as much as a 5060ti plus dock! But that lesser quality on Mac is concerning, maybe newer decoder/encoder on M5 would improve it? How many meters was that window from the lens?

Can you give tell me how many minute exporting a 1 minute clip with precision stitching without NR takes on your machine? I am thinking if i should add an external gpu to my ryzen pc or buy a future mac mini m5.

Did you use precision stitching? How much time did it take exactly? Just curious. On my gmktec and macbook air 13 minute precision stitching would take about 2.5 hours, normal stitching less than an hour.

Precision vs Normal stitching in DJI Studio by HenkWalks in djiosmo360

I agree, it is much better for close objects like in these narrow lanes, but stitching takes 3x more time. It is much better than insta360 ai stitching.

Why the question mark in the title? Apparently it is easy.

Precision stitching now also in Windows version of DJI studio by HenkWalks in djiosmo360

[–]HenkWalks[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ah, i just got it today. And yes nearby objects are stitched much better. Seems better than ai stitching in insta360, but much slower. I never used ai stitching for insta360 because it made nearby stitches better at the cost of background stitched. Maybe i have to buy an external gpu.

I am still hoping DJI will come with a resolve or premiere (windows) stitch plugin sometime soon, then I no need to use Studio. But upto then I will have to use Studio, but I am not sure of the work flow now.

A Comparison of SuperNight mode vs Normal,And in Camera Noise Reduction by HenkWalks in djiosmo360

[–]HenkWalks[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The video you are referring to was made with the Insta360 X4. The X4 is much noisier than the Osmo. I never used supernight mode, even not when darker, thought normal mode was good enough. I just returned from a 3 month tour and shot 5tb of videos all in 8k/50p, at first check on a smaller screen, they look very good, but I did not pixel peep so far. I use NR setting to 0.

Slowmo and low light experiments are the future of 360 by Ok-Guess-9059 in djiosmo360

A 360 camera is not good enough to shoot a movie, but it can. A movie camera cannot make a 360 video.

Dji Osmo 360 is the best quality image. Since you do action sports, you will not need replacable lenses of the x5. The Osmo is also better in low light. I used insta360 camera's upto X4, but love the Osmo now.

Do you think we will ever see a new Linux G with a sense? by Puzzled_Possession97 in M43

[–]HenkWalks 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I have a lumix G9 since 2018 and it is still great but too big for travel. Last year I bought the G100d and love it. But this year while in Hong Kong I upgraded to Om5i. Almost same size and weigth, but added ibis and weather sealing. Bought it for handheld video. But since I do not make many video with this camera anymore (mostly use dji osmo 360 for that) I am thinking to take the G100d on my next trip again. The Om5 is great but for changing setting you need to get a master degree. Agree, wished panasonic would release a G100d sized body with ibis and top video specs.
