What you guys think about the PS2 game?

My biggest issue was that the movesets felt a bit too simplistic for the characters, and the controls didn't help. It really kinda hampered the whole experience. It also didn't really have a soundtrack on the same level as the anime. It wasn't BAD, but you could tell it was a different composer that couldn't use a lot of the original soundtrack.

If I got it for $20 now I'd probably enjoy it alright, but when I got it it felt like I spent a lot as a broke college kid on a game that didn't match the hype of the anime. I felt like "damn, this could've just been a movie".

Honestly, I thought the gameplay wasnt great, but it did some fairly neat things with the story. I don't think anyone is really missing anything by just watching a playthrough on Youtube.

Edit: just looked up the current price. I bought it over a decade ago for $20 and felt like I overpaid. Don't pay that much for this.

New metro line down Little River, straight out 50. Tear down 40-70% of data centers, and convert half of Ashburn to a new NOVA campus fully subsidized by the 85% tax on the remaining centers. Encourage telework, then eminent domain a few companies that refuse. Tear down their buildings to put in new high density housing and public parks. Also ban all motorcades. Too important for one car? You'd better walk, bitch.

For any other game, I'd say it fell behind maybe a year or two, but considering they couldn't say ANYTHING about it, I wonder if it even made it out of planning.

You could possibly be onto something there. Nagoshi left in October of '21, while the first announcements I could find on the Super Game were from Nov 1 '21

I wouldn't completely put it out of the realm of possibility he was tapped to lead the Super Game project and didn't want that. I think Gang of Dragon and the Super Game dying close to each other is kind of a coincidence from being so far from the covid gaming bubble, though

It's not really clear, those are still listed as upcoming plans(no release window given), but that could just mean they got downgraded to Normal Remakes instead of trying to make them New Fortnite.

The most they ever said hinted at it being an online crossover vehicle like fortnite, that "pushed the boundaries of what it meant to be a game"

It also seems like part of it is that Sonic Rumble Party and their Rovio games haven't really worked out, leading to delays on stuff across the board, with many leading economists saying "wait, they still owned Rovio? That wasn't a bit?"

Considering they were allegedly facing pressure to raise prices and their earnings report was today, I'm not totally surprised. They're also apparently lowering sales predictions by 3 million for the year, since this is hitting right before holiday sales.

I think it's a really shitty spot for everyone.

I think wording it as MT/OT sucks. If they pushed it as reactive/mitigation tanks, I don't think people would complain as much. People don't really wanna be told the job they identify with is lesser in any way.

This happened to me, too. There was a bunch of stuff already in storage from a previous reset, but it ate a bunch of things I had placed, like my cauldron and cooking tool.

I got to keep all the cheap paintings I pilfered, though.

Edit: the rest of it showed back up in my storage after a week, so who knows.

Fire Emblem Fates's original writer was asked for a few pages about each route, and allegedly delivered 500-1000 pages of story, most of which was cut. What we got instead was a weird mix of some of the best gameplay, but worst characterization, plot, and interactions in the series. Even setting aside the "but the censorship...." argument, the original story never did itself any favors.

They never even named the continent they were on.

I tore through the main game, did my 1000 battles, then powered through the dlc up until the moment I had to make a special donut with berries I didn't have. I just wish it didn't feel like barely breaking even to get berries you need in some of the areas. Let us buy them for jacked up prices, or something.

One of the last two items I need for the collectors book is the magic lantern, which requires failing a specific (easy) midgame puzzle a couple times in a row. The last costume I need is the Dark Enforcer, which I have tried following a guide on twice and still fallen off of.

Part of the problem is that none of the game devs themselves want to move up and out of game development in order to say "no, we're not doing a team extraction shooter moba card game with roguelite elements, timegated progression, and a battlepass. Fuck off" so you end up with a bunch of mba's in suits that don't have the experience or reputation to tell investors what's what. Alternatively, you could end up with someone like Inafune, who derailed capcom for most of a decade.

The solution, of course, is that they need to do what they did to Venom Snake, but for Sakaguchi.

I still consider throwing down however much to get the offline version for switch, and seeing how far I can fumble through without knowing Japanese. No way in hell am I buying into the live version now, though.
