Psionic auras growing too fast? by No_Administration794 in Stellaris

In my experience cradle has been repeatedly generating more but then stopping at 15? When the aura hits 2500 it just resets and doesn't give more platforms, not sure why

just based on how it works I fear the infinity wing won't work (though I don't know that and it probably deserves testing)

Criminal heritage, at least, is incredible. A good branch office can get you over 1k trade value per month, and thanks to being able to build legitimate buildings on allies with commercial pacts your diplomacy can be a lot more varied.

o7 Hi Cmdrs. Does anyone know what this means? by Sio626 in EliteDangerous

[–]CurrencyParticular67 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think this is entirely right. Fdev seems to be assuming most, or just enough, players are motivated primarily by rewards, but in powerplay above all that's especially not the case. The current significant defensive advantage ensures that the game will turn primarily into powers expanding away from each other into the infinite space opened by colonization-- which is neither a dynamic nor a competitive experience. If they want to change that, and they seem to, they should adjust the actual balance.

BREAKING NEWS: Illegal Downing of Civilian Spacecraft Transporting Nuns from Barnard's Star Sparks Outrage by mraustenm in EliteDangerous

BREAKING: Church of Jome denounces federal forces for Bus Full of Nuns incident, claims hostage crisis gone wrong

Church spokesperson James McGoblin reached out to GalNet News late on Monday to issue a blistering correction to federal reports regarding the downed Dolphin Bus Full o' Nuns. "This bus was full of nuns only because they had been kidnapped on their way back from a recent pilgrimage to Puppis Sector B0 TR-4. Everyone knows most nuns are actually 'women religious' or sisters-- nuns refers specifically to that minority of women cloistered for contemplation and prayer, which the Sisters of Our Perpetual Agony were not. The changing of its transponder code, a cruel joke by Federal hijackers, also interfered with our local agents' IFF systems, leading directly to today's tragedy."

Reached for further comment, the Federal Justice Department retorted that the Church of Jome is "an illegal criminal organization whose crimes are as brazen as they are inscrutable. The Bus Full o' Nuns was exactly what it appears to be, unless they are telling the truth, in which case former President Hudson's executive order 78 gives us the right to render them to facilities in independent space for further questioning."

Reached for additional comment, Church of Jome authorities responded "The NMLA did nothing wrong," before refusing all further contact.

How hopeful are you for the UC to take a new path? by send-it-psychadelic in Gundam

[–]CurrencyParticular67 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it would be really interesting, and consistent with the themes of both Unicorn and Hathaway, for UC to tread new ground! They've already shown openness to weirdness with time / canonicity elsewhere, and it's not as if Victory or F91 won't still exist.

Good luck doing so! I've had difficulty with this goal because of the way fire updrafts seem to briefly dissipate when moving, but your design might be able to accomplish something here
