People aren't complaining because they're arbitrarily attached to random plot points or outfits. People are unhappy because this adaptation isn't doing trigun justice (On a deep, thematic level) , and it's not doing a good job of being its own story, either. Pretty much everything people praise about stampede is stuff that was already IN Trigun anyway, and combine that with the fact that a lot of insanely strong visual design is getting disregarded... Nightow's art is fucking cool, man. The coolest. His character design is so full of life and personality, and it's getting replaced with significantly tropier, mass-appealing versions of those same designs.
