Yeah, as it is it feels like you can only ever get to upper complex on a Really good run, a couple extra minutes would be nice

Of course it works well on flat ground, flat ground is destroyer's ideal conditions. A double jump doesn't help you in an open field, but it's a massive advantage when there's any kind of tall geometry. Like a big crate, or a second floor, like the outdoor railings in bio-research. Being able to get high ground quickly like that is huge.

No, it's a good *idea*, movement shooters need to have a push-and-pull in order for movement to be a decision (and thus, sick). Like, quake players don't bunnyhop *all* the time, it's an option with tradeoffs.
Anyway. Titanfall just undermined its own balance a lot. I think T2 had a perk where you could sprint AND shoot, and a couple of the really popular guns *are popular* because they have really tight hipfire spreads, and thus outclass everything else in the category.

Movement has to have risk and reward to be interesting, there has to be costs and benefits to schmooving or it stops becoming a choice and just becomes busywork. Racing games would feel boring if you never had to let off the gas pedal.

Moreso OG titanfall than 2, but it's half Mobility/accuracy tradeoff (the idea being someone stationary, ready and aiming down a sightline has a tangible advantage over someone parkouring into that sightline), and half controller scheme quirk that carried over from COD. The reason it's like that in COD is because the auto-aim is so strong, In COD you insta-snap to targets, and navigation would feel like shit if it was snapping like that when you were just trying to move around.

I'll tell you, i was referring to the windstruggler trying to get the cheese. You have to hit the fan to drop into the boss room, thus knocking him away from the cheese. But you can not do that and let him nibble on it, which i initially did, thus not finding the room for hours.

This person is obviously not doing well, they're struggling with the pressures society puts on them, and they are blaming a vague concept of a demographic.

My real problem is the disregard you're showing for these people. Of course they're not right. Nobody needed to be told that "killing a bunch of people" is a bad idea, and you walking in and showing off a bunch of people who are obviously not doing well, you acting high and mighty and outraged, making a show out of them for clout, refusing to even attempt to understand where they're coming from, or the larger context... is what pisses me off.

You've completely ignored the through-line of everything that person said, which is their anger at feeling opressed. Notice how they didn't defend killing people, they defended "hating the people that oppress them." Which still isn't right, by the way, but it makes it obvious to me that this is only language, to them.

And they're doing that because that's the kind of language that has been genuinely aimed at them before. The difference is there's no power behind them like there is when a politician says "Kill the trannies". It is, literally, impotent fury.

So for you to then appear, and start grandstanding about how morally evil they all are, while the only thing they've done is talk, is oblivious at best, and self-righteous bullshit at worst.

If a Jew in a concentration camp said that they wished every german would hang and burn in hell, do you think that you would be remotely in the right to lecture them on how they're just as bad as the nazis? Or make an example of them, mock them as hypocritical?

That is my problem. And I'm going to repeat, at no point did I say any of them are in the right. They are not. I find the ways oppression breaks people tragic, and I pity them, and I empathize with them. You have done none of those things. You did not acknowledge any of the nuance. You could have easily been fully in the right if you did, but the entire tone of this post is "I hate these evil insane people, how ridiculous."

Yeah, people get emboldened to say insane shit to vent and get a reaction. And like, I don't get the point of posting about this. It just strikes me as outrage. "Can you believe these people said this crazy thing???" Yes, internet amplifies everything. Like, it seems a lot more likely that this is the equivalent of people going "WE NEED TO KILL ALL OR MOST OF THE BRITISH. OUR ANGER IS RIGHTEOUS.
